Located in Guanyinqiao Street, Mao'ershi hides such a building, which is the office building of Shanghai Longzhang Paper Co., Ltd., the only paper mill founded by Pang Yuanji in Shanghai in 1906, after it was relocated to Chongqing.

In 1906, with the support of the government, Pang Yuanji specially rushed to Japan to investigate the papermaking industry, and after returning to China, he immediately joined hands with the giant merchant to obtain 380,000 taels of commercial shares, a total of 440,000 taels (including 60,000 official shares), and built a factory in Shanghai Longhua Gaochang Temple, Rihui Bridge, which was designed and supervised by the Japanese Prince Paper Co., Ltd. Hogoe Shousuke, covering an area of 60 acres. The main equipment are: 2 sets of American multi-inch multi-drying cylinder long net paper machine, 1 cylinder with a diameter of 96-inch, and 13 drying cylinders with a diameter of 48-inch; other equipment has 14 1200-pound beaters and 2 14-foot steam balls, and 1000 kVA generator, which generates its own electricity. It mainly produces high-grade paper such as securities, coins, and bills.

In May 1907, it was driven out of paper, mainly producing lianshi paper and raw paper, with a daily output of 10 tons. It is said that the quality of the paper produced by the factory is still very good, the raw materials are mainly rags, and some wood pulp and straw are used, according to the quality of the paper, the grade is graded, the sales area is mainly in the north, and the whole factory has more than 400 employees, which can be called the originator of China's modern papermaking industry.

In 1937 "VIII. After the "one three", Longzhang Paper Mill was forced to stop moving, and the destination was changed many times, and finally decided to move to Chongqing.

He arrived in Chongqing in March 1939 and began construction in Mao'ershi in August of the same year.

In January 1941, the new factory was completed to produce paper, and in November of the same year, it was acquired by the Central Trust Bureau and renamed the Central Paper Mill, with the production of bond paper as its main business.

In 1947, the Central Printing Factory took over the Central Paper Mill and renamed it "Chongqing Paper Mill".

After the founding of New China, the people's government took over it and renamed it "601 Paper Mill", later renamed "Chongqing Paper Mill" again, and finally changed its name to Chongqing Longzhang Paper Co., Ltd., and moved to Tongliang Xiquan Town.

In 2011, it was announced by the People's Government of Jiangbei District as a cultural relics protection unit in Jiangbei District.

In 2012, the building was rebuilt in the Jianxin West Road Cultural Relics Restoration Park.

The construction of Longzhang Paper Mill witnessed the history of the relocation of Longzhang Paper Mill to Chongqing, provided important physical materials for the study of the development of the relocated factory during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and played an important role in studying the industry of Chongqing during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and had important historical, scientific and social value.
