Comrade Zhi Tongbo, director of the Third Procuratorial Department of the Yicheng County People's Procuratorate, made a special report on the feedback from the Central Environmental Protection Inspection Group on the problem of "direct discharge of domestic sewage from Yicheng County to the XunHe River".
Li Ming, deputy procurator general of the Municipal People's Court, and the Yicheng County Housing and Construction Bureau, the Ecological Environment Bureau, and the Water Conservancy Bureau respectively conducted a comprehensive exchange on the operation of the Yicheng County Sewage Treatment Plant, the rectification of the rainwater and sewage diversion, the monitoring of water quality, the direct discharge of sewage around the Xunhe River and the garbage treatment, etc., and learned that the "direct discharge of domestic sewage into the Xunhe River" is due to the insufficient treatment capacity of the sewage treatment plant caused by the confluence of the original rainwater and sewage pipelines, and can only discharge domestic sewage through the overflow port, and the rainwater and sewage diversion transformation project is being carried out in an orderly manner at this stage. He urged the relevant organs to speed up the construction progress and fundamentally improve the problem of mixed overflow pollution caused by rain and sewage.
He pointed out that the participation of procuratorial organs in national governance, especially the governance of the ecological environment, has become the norm, and he hopes that the Yicheng County Court will closely contact and work together with administrative organs to thoroughly implement the "Opinions of the CPC Central Committee on Strengthening the Legal Supervision of Procuratorial Organs in the New Era", give full play to the responsibilities of public interest litigation, and make greater contributions to the construction of a beautiful Yicheng.
