In the War of Resistance Against Japan, how did our common people fight the enemy? Their stories are equally wonderful

There was such a group during the War of Resistance, which was almost never remembered, but which ran through this 14-year war. In that war-torn era, they had a common name - the common people. The names of these people may not go down in history, but their stories will never be forgotten. Next, let's go back to the period of the War of Resistance Against Japan and look at the true stories of our common people.

In the early spring of 1940, a small village in Hebei was again swept away, and in order to facilitate the next operation, the enemy simply set up a stronghold in the village. The Japanese army carried out sweeps almost every year in the spring and autumn, and its main purpose was to disrupt the rhythm of spring ploughing. Ordinary people missed spring ploughing, and the only remaining grain in their homes was robbed, and Yang Tianen, who was only 16 years old at that time, witnessed the tragic situation at that time.

After the village was occupied by the Japanese army, they only allowed the villagers to grow beans, and high-pole crops such as corn and sorghum were banned. Ordinary people really can't find food, coupled with all kinds of diseases, so people in the village will die every day. In this form, the Japanese army still arrested some relatively strong young people from time to time. Yang Tianen said that if he did not choose to resist Japan at that time, he could only become a traitor of the Japanese army, so he often helped the guerrillas in the village to guide the way, or simply helped to destroy some of the enemy's facilities. After some time, Yang Tianen was ready to officially join the guerrillas.

In 1941, the enemy's sweep became more and more frequent, and the common people were supporting the War of Resistance in their own way. On the night of July 1, in front of an old lady's house stood a strange girl named Xu Nianchu, an officer of the New Fourth Army Service Regiment. Because the unit she was in at that time was raided by the enemy, which caused her to be unfortunately separated from the troops, so in the face of the enemy's encirclement and interception, the young Xu Nianchu could only find a way to find the common people for help.

However, at that time, Taicang had been occupied by the Japanese army, and they implemented a system of armor protection in the local area, resulting in people seeing strangers, and the people really did not dare to help. At that time, Xu Nianchu was already very tired, and she was also crying and saying her true identity, hoping to get help from the old man in front of her. After hearing this, the old lady comforted Xu Nianchu and said: Don't be afraid, it doesn't matter, you can stay here for the time being, if something happens to me, I will help you stand up, it is a big deal that the two of us will die together. In the early morning of the next day, Xu Nianchu really did not want to drag this kind person down, so he quietly left this warm home in the night. But what she didn't notice was that her pen had landed in the old man's house.

Xu Nianchu quietly came to the county seat, and together with his familiar sisters, embarked on a journey to Shanghai. But they did not expect that they had just left the county seat, and suddenly a few Japanese soldiers appeared behind them, shouting and rushing towards them. The two girls hurriedly ran into a house, and the family quickly tied their headscarves and sent them from the window to the cotton field behind. The Japanese searched around the cotton bushes, and the two girls lay on the ground in despair. However, at this moment, the sky suddenly began to rain heavily, and when the Japanese soldiers saw the rain, they gave up the search and directly turned their heads and ran to the county seat. The girls threw away their belongings and ran outside, and it didn't take long for the rain to slowly stop.

It was about to get dark, and two girls knocked on the door of a mansion. The owners of this big mansion are out of the house, standing in front of her is the housekeeper of the house, Xu Nianchu after a while of thinking, or said his true identity, hoping to live temporarily at this time. This butler also supported our army in battle, so he was also very enthusiastic about these two strangers. By the next day, the housekeeper had prepared a boat and was going to personally escort the two girls to Shanghai. The first half of the trip was very smooth, but when they reached the junction of Taicang and Kunshan, they were interrogated by the Japanese troops stationed at the outpost. The girls felt a little nervous, and the three of them also discussed on the ship for a long time, and finally the housekeeper made a suggestion, asking Xu Nianchu to pretend to be his wife, and the other girl was his sister, so that maybe he could get through the confusion. After going ashore, the housekeeper and their squad leader mediated, but they did not expect that this traitor was actually half a fellow, plus the housekeeper finally gave him some money, and finally passed the post smoothly.

After arriving in Shanghai, Xu Nianchu heard a very sad news, when the old lady who took her in was captured by the Japanese army because of the lost pen. Unable to obtain other useful information, she was beaten by them, and the old lady fell seriously ill and died not long after. Xu Nianchu was very sad and remorseful at that time, and she was also very grateful to those who had helped, they had no guns to resist, and they still needed to bear greater risks in the face of those Japanese troops all day long, but they could always reach out at key moments and make their own contributions in their own way.

One night at the end of 1944, on the seashore of Wujia Village in Penglai South, Shandong Province, a sailboat full of Japanese supplies suddenly floated. In order to deliver supplies to the troops occupying Penglai, they deliberately drove from Dalian. However, due to a typhoon at that time, the sailboat ran aground next to the village that night. At that time, the people had just experienced a sweep, and all the grain was basically robbed by the Japanese army. Looking at the entire ship of food and supplies, the people all moved back home under the command of the militiamen, and even the machine sailboat was dismantled. Wang Zhimin, a villager at the time, was one of them, saying that people were very happy at the time, but he and the militia fighters could not rest assured. So in the time that followed, the troops increased their training in case something came by surprise. During that time, Wang Zhimin and the soldiers could not sleep at night, and after more than half a month of calm, the Japanese army finally came to the door.

That night, Wang Zhimin heard a gunshot outside and hurriedly got up, only to find that the outside was full of enemies. In the fierce battle, the militia was quickly defeated, 11 fighters were unfortunately captured, and Wang Zhimin ran into the nearby mountain in the confusion. In the subsequent door-to-door search, 9 villagers were unfortunately found by the enemy to find clues, and after being captured, they were uniformly taken to the wheat field (cháng) north of the village, and finally all of them were killed by the Japanese army. The 11 captured soldiers were also killed, and they were nailed to the city wall by the Japanese army and burned alive. Wang Zhimin burst into tears after seeing his comrades who had been mutilated to death, and he secretly resolved in his heart that he must make these beasts pay the price.

After returning home, Wang Zhimin told his sister that he was going to join the army to fight, but he should not tell his mother in any way. And so one night, another hardened warrior was born. On the battlefield, Wang Zhimin fought the enemy as if he were not dying, and then it was not long before the Japanese army occupying Penglai City was completely annihilated by the fighters. And Wang Zhimin also suddenly knelt down in front of the city wall, for the sake of those comrades who were tortured to death, but also for the sake of those ordinary people who were brutally killed by the Japanese army.

After 1944, more and more ordinary people joined this unprecedented and tragic war in their own way. Or take up arms to fight the enemy, or reach out in obscurity. If there is a war at this time, our people will always be a solid backing for the warriors, and their names may not be written into history, but their stories have never been forgotten!
