"Motherland" magazine learned from the Beijing Founding Fathers Cultural Promotion Association that Ms. Xu Wenhui, daughter of founding general Xu Haidong and president of the Beijing Founding Fathers Cultural Promotion Association, died of illness at the 81-year-old naval general hospital at 15:40 on September 28, 2020.

Xu Wenhui was born in May 1939 in Yan'an. In 1958, he was admitted to the Beijing Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In 1960, he transferred to the Shanghai Second Military Medical University and joined the Communist Party of China the following year. After graduating as a "three-good cadet" in 1965, he was assigned to the General Hospital of the Beijing Military Region and has been engaged in medical work ever since.

After her retirement, she was enthusiastically involved in the dissemination and promotion of red culture and revolutionary traditions. Before his death, he served as the chairman of the Choir of the Descendants of the Founding Fathers and the president of the Beijing Founding Fathers Cultural Promotion Association. He was named one of the Top Ten Red Tourism Figures in China in 2008.
