On January 21, Wang Lei, director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and director of the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, came to Jinan to investigate the protection and utilization of cultural relics and archaeological sites, cultural sites and scenic spots. Liu Chenghua, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Jinan Municipal People's Congress, Zhi Liang, director of the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Yu Rong, deputy director of the Bureau, and Zhang Mingzhan, a leading cadre at the department level, accompanied the investigation.
Wang Lei and his entourage first inspected the ruins of The Jiaojia family in Zhangqiu, the ruins of Chengziya, and the ruins of the ancient city of Dongpingling.
At the Jiaojia site, Wang Lei learned more about the excavation, inspected the cultural relics discovery base on the spot, and expressed concern and affirmation for the excavation of the Jiaojia site. Jiaojia ruins are located in the west of Jiaojia Village, Longshan Subdistrict Office, Zhangqiu District, the discovery of city walls, trenches and a number of large tombs, coupled with the discovery of a considerable number of Dawenkou cultural jade and white pottery, shows that in the middle and late stages of the Dawenkou culture, the Jiaojia site is an important site of political, economic and cultural center significance in lubei area.
Afterwards, he visited the ruins of Chengziya and visited the Yongsan Culture Museum. Located at the longshan subdistrict office station in Zhangqiu District, on the east bank of the Juye River, the Chengziya site is a representative site of the Longshan culture, as well as the discovery and naming place of the Longshan culture. After many excavations in the 1930s and 1990s, it was found that the Chengziya site is rich in connotation, including cultural relics from the Neolithic era to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. Among them, the remains of longshan culture in the late Neolithic period and the Yueshi culture in the early Bronze Age are the main remains.
Chengziya site exists in the Longshan period city site and Yueshi culture city site, is one of the important prehistoric city sites found in China, which has great academic significance for the study of the origin of the city, and the area where the Chengziya site is located has witnessed the formation and development of ancient Chinese civilization.
Wang Lei and his party then went to the Longshan Subdistrict Office of Zhangqiu City, which is the ruins of the ancient city of Dongpingling, and the city wall around the site is still there, which is the best preserved ancient city site in Shandong. The ancient city of Dongpingling is called Pingling City, which was built in the Spring and Autumn Period, when it belonged to the Tan Kingdom. The ancient city prospered in the two Han Dynasties, and to the Tang Dynasty and the Ten Years, it experienced more than a thousand years of vicissitudes.
The remaining rammed earth walls can be seen around the site, which are an important part of the ancient city of Dongpingling. A large amount of iron slag, ore, charcoal, refractory materials and burnt soil remain within 300 to 400 meters of the west side of the central part of the city site proves that this is an iron smelting site. Zhangqiu has been known as the hometown of blacksmiths since ancient times, and winning and maintaining this reputation has a lot to do with the iron smelting industry in Pingling City.
The site of the Zhangqiu District Museum is located in a building typical of Zhangqiu residences in the late Qing Dynasty. The layout of the museum is ingenious and the design is reasonable, the front hall and the back building, the north and south are connected, and the east and west are symmetrical. There are 9 showrooms, with an exhibition line of 108 meters, and more than 700 cultural relics are exhibited.
Leaving Zhangqiu, Wang Lei and his party came to the Jiuru Mountain Scenic Area, affirmed the construction of the Jiuru Mountain Scenic Area and the construction of homestays, and put forward guidance for the next step of work, Director Wang Lei stressed that under the premise of doing a good job in epidemic prevention and control, we should further grasp the construction of scenic spots, grasp the market demand for the characteristics of winter tourism, and work hard to improve the quality of services.
