The 16th Hunchun Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, elected by the 16th Congress of the Communist Party of China in Hunchun City, held its first plenary meeting on the morning of September 29 and elected the leading body of the Municipal Party Committee.
The meeting elected the members, secretaries and deputy secretaries of the Standing Committee of the 16th Hunchun Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China by secret ballot.
The new Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee consists of 11 people: Chen Sheng, Zhang Linguo, Peng Shuhai, Li Deping, Liu Linbo, Park Sung-chul, Wang Jinwei, Wang Yanhui, Cheng Songjin, Jin Xun, and Lu Lin.
Chen Sheng was elected secretary of the municipal party committee, and Zhang Linguo and Peng Shuhai were elected deputy secretaries of the municipal party committee. The meeting also adopted the report on the election results of the first plenary session of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection.

Chen Sheng said that the new leading body of the municipal party committee was appointed in the opening year of the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" and was commissioned to build Hunchun into a new development pattern in China and an important node city in Jilin Province's "one main and six doubles" high-quality development strategy. We must adhere to the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech as the guide, cherish the opportunities and stage provided by the organization, do not forget the original intention, keep in mind the mission, and use practical actions to turn the goals set by the party congress into reality. Based on a new starting point, the new municipal party committee team should adhere to the problem orientation, grasp the main contradictions, and strive to overcome difficulties.
Chen Sheng pointed out that Hunchun is in an important node position in China's construction of a new development pattern of domestic and international double circulation, a new starting point for China's "Belt and Road" to open up to the north, and also a hub for the high-quality development strategy of "one main and six doubles" in Jilin Province. At present, Hunchun City is facing new opportunities for cooperation in Northeast Asia. Guo province has always attached great importance to the development of Hunchun. Through the unremitting efforts of the whole city in recent years, Hunchun's foreign trade is steadily developing. It is necessary to conscientiously study and implement the spirit of the 16th Party Congress of Hunchun City, combine the actual conditions of work, implement the tasks determined by the Party Congress, and focus on building a fulcrum city for implementing the national strategy, an important node city for domestic and international double circulation, a hub city for the high-quality development strategy of "one master and six doubles", and a new highland for green development.
On strengthening the building of leading bodies and cadre contingents, Chen Sheng stressed: We must take the lead in strengthening the sense of loyalty. Resolutely safeguard General Secretary Xi Jinping's position as the core of the Party Central Committee and the core of the whole Party, and resolutely safeguard the authority of the Party Central Committee and centralized and unified leadership. Strengthen the belief in victory and development confidence, and strive to achieve the great opening up and development of Hunchun. It is necessary to take the lead in strengthening the sense of reform. To promote the development and opening up of Hunchun in the new development stage, we must add impetus and seek breakthroughs by comprehensively deepening reform. The Hunchun Municipal CPC Committee will take a clear stand to support and encourage cadres who dare to take action and confront hardships and dare to reform and innovate. It is necessary to take the lead in strengthening the awareness of learning. Earnestly study political theoretical knowledge, follow up and study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech instructions, study the history of the party, the history of reform and opening up, learn the mission to undertake, learn to be loyal and faithful. In all matters that are beneficial to the party and the people, we must not take refuge in things, do not shirk our responsibilities in righteousness, and do things boldly and resolutely. To properly implement the system of democratic centralism, all important decisions and major matters of the municipal party committee must be in accordance with the procedures and principles of collective leadership, democratic centralism, individual deliberation, and decision-making at meetings, widely carry forward democracy, fully express opinions, be fair and just, and collectively discuss and decide. Where the decisions formed by the municipal party committee, the standing committee members and members of the municipal party committee should resonate with the same frequency and grasp the implementation without discounting. It is necessary to correctly handle the relationship between organizations, individuals, and comrades, treat each other with openness and honesty, correctly treat opinions and criticisms, and truly achieve a game of chess and a heart for officials.
