Shu Han had four "AnHan generals": which one do you know besides Wang Ping?

During the Three Kingdoms period at the end of the Han Dynasty, the official positions of military generals were mainly divided into two types: miscellaneous generals and heavy generals. Among them, although the heavy generals have a higher status, they are limited in number, mainly for the generals, the generals of the hussars, the generals of the car, the generals of the Guards, and the generals of the four sides of the front and back. Therefore, from the beginning of the Western Han Dynasty, the imperial court has appointed a large number of miscellaneous generals, which are awarded to military generals who have made military achievements. By the end of the Han Dynasty, during the Three Kingdoms period, the miscellaneous generals were more widely used. For example, Guan Yu's general Dangkou and Lü Bu's general Fenwu are common miscellaneous generals.

Among them, the "General An Han" mentioned in this article is a miscellaneous general set up by the Shu Han Dynasty, as the name suggests, the General An Han pinned the beautiful meaning of the Anding Han Dynasty, so the selection of the General of The An Han naturally also has a relatively important position in the history of the Shu Han. 1. Elk Zhu

麋竺 (also known as 糜竺) (?) –c. 221), zizhong. A native of Donghai County ( present-day southwest of Lianyungang , Jiangsu ) . As early as the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Lu Zhu was set aside by Xuzhou Mutao Qian as a driver. In the first year of Xingping (194), after Tao Qian's death, Lu Zhu was ordered by Tao Qian to welcome Liu Bei, who was in Xiaopei, into Xuzhou and assist Liu Bei. Soon, Lü Bu came to liu bei. In the first year of Jian'an (196), Lü Bu took advantage of the stalemate between Liu Bei and Yuan Shu to take advantage of the opportunity to sneak up on Xia Pi, thus opposing the main guests.

When Liu Bei lost Xuzhou, Lu Zhu deliberately married his sister to Liu Bei, and helped Liu Bei recruit troops to buy horses, so that Liu Bei, who was facing danger, was reinvigorated. Later, Cao Cao wanted to recommend Lu Zhu as the Taishou of Ying Commandery and his younger brother Lu Fang as the Minister of State of Pengcheng, but neither Lu Zhu nor Lu Fang accepted it and decided to follow Liu Bei. From this point of view, Liu Bei's appointment of Lu Zhu as the general of An Han was undoubtedly a matter of course.

In the nineteenth year of Jian'an (214), Liu Bei defeated Liu Zhang and pacified the land of Yizhou. On this basis, Liu Bei worshiped Lu Zhu as the general of An Han, with a status above that of the military general Zhuge Liang, and the treatment was the highest among the courtiers. In the 24th year of Jian'an (219), Sun Quan's general Lü Meng attacked Jingzhou, and Lufang Xiancheng, who was serving as the Taishou of Nan Commandery at the time, surrendered, and the former general Guan Yu was defeated and killed. Lu Zhu asked Liu Bei for jing's guilt, and Liu Bei in turn comforted him, believing that his brother's sin had nothing to do with his brother and treating him with the same courtesy as ever. In the first year of Zhang Wu's reign (221), Mi Zhu, Zhuge Liang, and other courtiers joined forces to persuade Liu Bei to take the throne. In the same year, Mi Zhu died of illness.

2. Li Miao

Li Mi (?) –234), courtesy name Hannan, was a native of Guanghan County (present-day Santai County, Sichuan). At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Li Mi was subordinate to the Zhenwei general Liu Zhang. In 214 (the nineteenth year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty), Liu Bei captured Yizhou, led Yizhou Tomu, and appointed Li Mi as Yizhou. After Liu Bei pacified Yizhou, Li Mi served as the General of Qianwei Taishou (犍為太守), Cheng Xiang (丞相) and An Han (安汉將軍). In this regard, in the author's opinion, from the perspective of time, Li Miao should have served as the general of An Han after Mi Zhu. In other words, Li Mi was the second An Han general of the Shu Han Dynasty. However, among the four AnHan generals of the Shu Han Dynasty, Li Mi was the only one who did not have a good death.

According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms and other historical records, in 234 AD, after Zhuge Liang died of illness and died in Wuzhangyuan, Li Mi wrote a letter slandering Zhuge Liang, and the lord Liu Chan was furious, imprisoned him, and killed him. In this regard, in the author's opinion, throughout Li Miao's life, he has repeatedly spoken out. When Zhuge Liang was preparing to kill Ma Mo, Li Mi chose to intercede for Ma Mo, which caused dissatisfaction among many Shu Han ministers. Now, Li Mi chose to slander Zhuge Liang again, which caused indignation among the Shu Han people, and thus ended up being killed.

Li Hui believed that Liu Zhang was bound to fail, and Liu Bei was bound to succeed, so he pretended to be an emissary of Yizhou County and went north to meet Liu Bei. Li Hui met Liu Bei at Mianzhu, and Liu Bei admired Li Hui very much, so he asked Li Hui to stay in the army and attack Luocheng together.

In the first year of Zhang Wu (221), Liu Bei declared himself emperor, established the Shu Han Dynasty, and changed his name to Yuan Zhangwu. In the same year (the second year of Zhang Wu), Deng Fang, the governor of Shu Han, died of illness, so Liu Bei made Li Hui the second governor of The Shu Dynasty. In the third year of Zhang Wu (223), Liu Bei fell ill and died. At that time, Nanzhong Haoqiang Gao Ding acted arbitrarily in Yuewei County, the Hao clan Yongmin flew in Yizhou County, and The Muke County's Cheng Zhu Bao also rebelled in Muke County.

In April of the seventh year of Jianxing (229), Sun Quan declared himself emperor and established the state of Wu. The Shu Han court sent emissaries to make an alliance with Sun Wu's blood and reach an alliance of dividing the world.
