During this year's National Day Golden Week, passengers' willingness to travel by rail is high. From September 28 to October 7, Guangzhou Railway Group sent a total of 18.036 million passengers, with an average of 1.804 million passengers per day. In order to meet the travel needs of passengers, Guangzhou Railway has tapped its transportation potential and increased its capacity by adding extra-map trains, reconnecting EMUs, running sets, and increasing nighttime high-speed rail on peak days.

Tang Hui, chief of the technical section of the Guangzhou Railway Passenger Transport Department, introduced that the peak of this year's National Day Golden Week was 1462 pairs of passenger cars, an increase of 42 pairs year-on-year, of which 1222 pairs of EMUs, an increase of 31 pairs year-on-year. During the National Day holiday, Guangzhou Railway Group also made full use of passenger transportation big data to guide major stations to do the optimal configuration of personnel and equipment and the organization of large passenger flow to ensure smooth and orderly passenger transportation.

"This is the most meaningful National Day holiday I have ever had." On the G96 high-speed railway, passenger Li Tao was happy after participating in the train celebration. In the spacious high-speed rail station, on the Mercedes-Benz EMUs, the songs are flying, the applause is bursting, and the waving national flag and the smiling faces of passengers converge into a sea of joy. Shenzhen North Railway Station, Guangjiu, Guangzhou Passenger Transport Section and other station units have organized a series of "I love the motherland" series of celebration activities, railway workers and the majority of passengers singing "Singing the Motherland" and "My Motherland and Me", railway calligraphers for passengers to send blessings to the ink treasure, free distribution of fruit tea, masks and small national flags.

While facilitating the travel of passengers, Guangzhou Railway Group also strictly implements epidemic prevention measures to ensure the safety of the journey. At Guangzhou South Railway Station, there is a group of running "big whites", who are wearing airtight white protective clothing and sweat-wet protective glasses in the hot summer and high temperature, running in the isolation waiting area, responsible for transporting inbound passengers who have lifted the isolation.

It is understood that in order to ensure the safety of passenger epidemic prevention, Guangzhou South Railway Station has set up a special real-name verification channel, a special security inspection channel, a special waiting area, and a special toilet for inbound passengers who have lifted the isolation, and sent special personnel to guide the transfer. Guangzhou South, Shenzhen North and other stations have also set up nucleic acid testing points to provide free nucleic acid testing services for passengers from medium- and high-risk areas. Changsha South Railway Station implements a daily inspection for key post operators to ensure the health of employees.
