From September 22 to 24, Gaofu Town successfully held the first meeting of the 17th People's Congress, and a total of 97 people attended the meeting.
The meeting heard and deliberated the "Gaofu Town People's Government Work Report", "Gaofu Town People's Congress Presidium Work Report", "Gaofu Town 2020 Financial and Departmental Final Accounts Implementation and 2021 First Half of 2021 Fiscal and Departmental Budget Implementation" and 2021 Gaofu Town People's Government People's Livelihood Practical Project Implementation. One mayor of Gaofu Town, one chairman of the People's Congress, and two deputy mayors were elected by vote in accordance with the law, and a constitutional oath-taking ceremony was held. The number of voters should be 57, and the actual number of voters should be 56, and the results of the election should be legal, valid, open and fair.
On behalf of the town party committee, Chen Hongwei, secretary of the town party committee, expressed warm congratulations to the smooth convening of the congress and the newly elected comrades, and stressed: We must always uphold the party's leadership over the work of the people's congress, grasp the correct political direction, strengthen the building of work style, closely follow the main points of work, and meticulously plan and advance the work of the people's congress. Strengthen awareness of the Constitution and the law, and integrate rule of law thinking and rule of law methods throughout the entire process of people's congress supervision work. Highlight the key points of supervision, enhance the effectiveness of supervision, and promote the proper resolution of complex problems. Normalize the study of deputies' performance of their duties, conscientiously implement the system of people's congress deputies linking up with the masses, and expand the connotation of deputies' activities. Promote the grid management of deputies' performance of their duties, and continuously deepen the construction of representative liaison stations. Efforts should be made to do a good job in handling the suggestions of the deputies, increase the rate of completion of the proposals, earnestly safeguard the fundamental interests of the masses of the people, and strive to open up a new situation in the work of the people's congresses in the new era.
