In his speech, Mao Wei congratulated the project on landing, he said that Suzhou High-tech Zone is the only state-level high-tech zone in Jiangsu Province that focuses on supporting the development of the medical device industry, with good location advantages in the Yangtze River Delta, good foundation for medical device strategic emerging industries, beautiful ecology, complete comprehensive facilities, and high work and life happiness index.
At present, the high-tech zone has built professional carriers such as Jiangsu Medical Device Science and Technology Industrial Park and Suzhou Life and Health Town, and has jointly built large institutes such as Suzhou Medical Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Suzhou Medical Device Research Institute of Southeast University, gathering more than 400 related enterprises, with an annual output value of 20 billion yuan, becoming a national medical device torch characteristic base. The construction of the Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University and the Taihu Lake Health Work Research Institute will provide technical personnel support for industrial development and provide new opportunities for the sustainable development of the medical device industry. It is hoped that Euclid Group will take the signing of this project as an opportunity to increase investment in scientific and technological research and development, attract top talents in the industry, introduce more high-quality projects, and inject strong impetus into our efforts to build Suzhou Industrial Science and Technology Innovation Center and launch the "MEDPARK" brand. The high-tech zone will always uphold the concept of "user thinking and customer experience" to help enterprises invest with peace of mind, develop comfortably and be stronger.
Cao Qiang thanked the high-tech zone for its strong support for the development of the project and introduced the project. He said that Euclid is the first manufacturer of orthokeratology glasses approved by the US FDA, Suzhou industrial environment is very good, the high-tech zone has a mature business environment and project development foundation, I believe that in the high-tech zone will be able to achieve the development goals. After the project lands, it will strive to expand its production capacity in the Asia-Pacific region, promote the development of China's orthokeratology industry, and will also find more new medical device products, advanced design and production processes to Bring to China, and land in the high-tech zone.
Euclid R&D and production base project, settled in the medical device industrial park, with a total investment of 200 million yuan, is the only Euclid Group's sales coverage of the world's orthokeratology mirror enterprises, the first global production base built outside the US headquarters, but also the first foreign-funded orthokeratology mirror enterprises to enter China, the Chinese market consumption rate will account for 85% of its global. The project is expected to obtain the registration certificate of three types of device products and achieve mass production in 2026 to meet the product demand of the global market in the future.
