Yan Shu: Taiping Yixian Xiang, unrepentant emperor master

In ancient times, there were not a few literati who aspired to become imperial masters.

The Tang Dynasty poet Chang Jian wrote in the "Late Encounter of Taigong Lamentation": "Under the four oysters and jades, one word is the emperor's master." "I don't know when it became the highest political ideal and ambition of their lives to become an imperial master.

Li Bai, the immortal who was born to be useful, also aspired to be an imperial master, set the merits of the country, and achieve some merit, so he would write "If you hunt in the Wei river, you can be an imperial master" to express his grandeur in his later years.

The poet Saint Du Fu also wrote "To the Junyao Shunshang, and then make the customs pure", to express his ambition to assist the king and turn the social fashion into a thick and simple if he is reused.

However, contrary to their wishes, Shi Xian and Shi Sheng seem to lack some luck of "heaven and place and people", and they have never been a god king and teacher in their lives, and can only "raise a glass to dispel their sorrows and sorrows"; while some people have realized the highest political ideals that many literati have not been able to complete in their lifetimes.

For example, Song Renzong Zhao Zhen's teacher, Yan Shu.

Yan Shu (晏殊), also spelled Tongshu , a native of Linchuan County , Fuzhou ( present-day Linchuan , Jiangxi ) , was a politician, writer, and famous lyricist of the Northern Song Dynasty , who was best at Xiao Ling. Together with his seventh son, "Yan Ji Dao", he was collectively known as "Da Yan and Xiao Yan", and together with Ouyang Xiu, he was called "Yan Ou".

Seven-year-old can belong to Wen, Jing Dechu, Zhang Zhibai to appease Jiangnan, as a prodigy recommended. Emperor Zhaoshu and more than a thousand jinshi tried to be in the court, and the special spirit did not deter the pen to stand up, and Di Jia rewarded the tongjinshi with birth. - "The Biography of Song Shi Yan Shu"

Born in the second year of Emperor Taizong of Song (991), Yan Shu was really the darling of heaven, and at the age of five he was called a "prodigy", and since then he has been hanging all the way, and in the year of Zhixue, he was recommended by Jiangnan to appease Zhang Zhibai to enter the temple examination, and his talent was appreciated by Song Taizong and became an official. By the time of Emperor Renzong of Song, the official position soared.

And his most famous identity is the Imperial Master.

Yan Shu: Taiping Yixian Xiang, unrepentant emperor master

Yan Shu was nineteen years old with Song Renzong, and became his teacher when Emperor Renzong was still the crown prince. When Emperor Renzong of Song ascended the throne, he also relied on and respected Yan Shu as a teacher.

However, such a highly respected prime minister has also encountered depreciation.

"Treading Sha Xing: No Waves in the Blue Sea"

The blue sea has no waves, and Yaotai has a road. Thinking about it, he flew away.

At that time, I said goodbye to my sweetheart, and the mountains and rivers knew where to go.

The mats are dusty, and the incense is obscured by fog. The small print of the red note is attached to whom.

The tall buildings are full of twilight, and the leaves of the sycamore are xiaoxiao rain.

In the third year of Tiansheng, Yan Shu was impeached by Yushi for offending Empress Liu, removed from his official position, and demoted to Xuanzhou. Emperor Renzong must have pleaded for his teacher at that time, but Empress Liu was too powerful to support her, and could only watch her teacher being degraded from the dynasty. Whether it was Yan Shu or Renzong, his heart was full of all kinds of helplessness.

The song "Tasha Xing" was written on the way to the degraded Xuanzhou.

Yan Shu: Taiping Yixian Xiang, unrepentant emperor master

Yan Shu regretted that he already knew that he would go through this disaster, it was better to fly to the "Blue Sea" and the passable "Yaotai" with both the "people of interest" in the first place, which would be as far away from each other as they are now, and when they wanted to cherish it, they would no longer have it; the mountains were also high, the water was far away, and the letters that had been written long ago could not be sent to each other, everything was changing rapidly, so impermanent...

"Yaotai" once appeared in "Chu Ci Departure": "Looking at the Yaotai's Yan Xi, see the daughter of You'e." "Bihai" and "Yaotai" are both fairylands, but he has been relegated to a remote place. At the beginning, he borrowed a fairyland, written really wonderfully, and the strong contrast between "immortal" and "mortal" also just showed the difference between the high and low of his official position before and after he was degraded, and the sense of internal gap?

One dynasty is the prime minister, and the other is the official.

When he ascended the tall building alone, he looked leisurely into the distance, only to see the xiaoxiao drizzle sprinkled on the sycamore leaves from the air.

Will be the top of the mountain, overlooking the mountains small.

—— Du Fu, "Wangyue"

Most of the gentlemen, literati, and inkers in ancient times had the elegance of ascending to the heights and looking far. Ascending to the heights not only has a beautiful meaning such as "step by step", but also allows people's souls to be more detached, broader in mind, temporarily out of the limitations of vision, feel the mystery of all things, and release the inner ambition, ambition, pride and ambition in those high places.

Yan Shu: Taiping Yixian Xiang, unrepentant emperor master

Yan Shu is particularly fond of ascending, and he has expressed his interest in ascending in many poems.

Go up to the tall building alone and look at the end of the world.

—— Yan Shu,"Butterfly Love Flower, Sill Chrysanthemum SorrowFul Smoke Orchid Weeping Dew"

Mr. Wang Guowei praised Yan Shu's words in "Words and Sayings on Earth" as the first realm that "ancient and modern people who have become great causes" must pass through in their lives.

The difference is that it rained this time. The rain was like a sudden turn in the road, hitting his "plane tree". And this plane tree is "near dusk", and I don't know if it can withstand this toss.

Therefore, this song is not just expressing the concern and parting feelings for the bridesmaids as it appears, and it is more of a feeling of helplessness in Yan Shu's heart.

"Bihai", "Yaotai", "Shanshui", "Qi Xi", "Fragrant Boudoir", "Sycamore Leaf", "Rain" are all soft things, and although the whole word is lonely, it hides tenderness, without the slightest complaint and hatred. This shows that in his heart, he understood Renzong's situation very well. At the same time, he did not give up the imperial court, not to give up his own student.

Yan Shu: Taiping Yixian Xiang, unrepentant emperor master

In the fourth year of the Celebratory Calendar, Yan Shu was impeached by his courtiers, and in order not to embarrass Emperor Renzong again, Yan Shu offered to leave Kaifeng, and then served as an official in many places. It was not until June of the first year of the reign that he requested to return to Kaifeng due to illness. Renzong has always had different feelings for his teacher, and finally found the opportunity to take care of the teacher. After Yan Shu returned to Kaifeng, he asked Yan Shu to teach himself, and he had to meet the saint every five days. At this time, Yan Shu was no longer the Prime Minister of the Great Song Dynasty, but his courtesy was still treated with the specifications of the Prime Minister. After Yan Shu's death, Emperor Renzong resigned from the dynasty for two days; the official was Given the title of Sikong and Shizhong (司空) and Shizhong (侍中), giving him the title of "Yuan Xian" (元献), and writing the four characters "Monument of Old Learning" on the first seal of Yan Shu's inscription. This is enough to show that regardless of whether Yan Shu was degraded or not, he always had a very important position in Renzong's heart.

Later generations often envied Yan Shu and Song Renzong's extraordinary teacher-student relationship.

Yan Shu is not only knowledgeable and talented, but also has a good way of being a person. He was a clean and honest official, lived a simple life, always adhered to the way of being an official, and did not deviate from the norm; his disposition was even more resolute and straightforward, just and upright, and humble; not only that, Yan Shu was also very sorry for talent, knew people well, and often promoted his descendants.

His life was for the Great Song Dynasty, for the emperor, and for the people. Even as a local official, he also ran a large school, cultivated talents for the Great Song Dynasty, and did a lot of great things to benefit the country and the people.

Helpless flowers fell, and déjà vu returned.

——Yan Shu, "Huan Xi Sha , A New Word Wine Glass"

This is Yan Shu's most popular sentence, the theme is the word of wounded spring; what is revealed between the lines is the sigh of pity and helplessness that time is fleeting, and the fall and return of "flower" and "swallow" are just like the present and past of the same person. Flowers blossom and fall, swallows come and go, perhaps he has long been mentally prepared for these impermanent encounters in life.

After more than fifty years of residence, the highly respected Yan Shu can be described as a generation of sages of the Great Song Dynasty. Whether it was the Imperial Master or the Taiping Prime Minister, Yan Shu was quite competent.

If he came back for another lifetime, he would definitely be willing to be an imperial teacher for the country, the people, and the emperor again.
