Ren Changxia: Shouldering responsibilities and enforcing the law for the people

Ren Changxia, born on February 8, 1964 in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, to a working family, graduated from the police academy in 1983 and was assigned to the Zhongyuan Branch of the Zhengzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau to engage in pre-trial work, and gradually grew into a case handling expert. In November 1992, Ren Changxia won the double championship in two post training competitions in the Zhengzhou public security system and the municipal law front. In November 1994, she won the first place with excellent results in the provincial political and legal front competition. After being appointed as the head of the technical investigation detachment of the Zhengzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau in 1998, Ren Changxia went deep into the tiger's den many times, disguised himself to investigate, successively destroyed 7 gangs involved in the mafia, and arrested more than 370 criminal suspects, known as the "goddess police".

In April 2001, Ren Changxia was transferred to the Party Committee and Director of the Dengfeng Municipal Public Security Bureau. In the three years that she served as the director of the Dengfeng City Public Security Bureau, she always kept the people's suffering and safety in mind, solved the backlog of cases accumulated over more than 10 years, cracked more than 3,000 cases, and arrested more than 4,000 criminals of all kinds.

At the beginning of his term of office, in the face of the situation that the team was scattered and the style of conduct was the first to last every year, Ren Changxia went deep into the grass-roots level to investigate and explore the bottom, ran through the 17 township police stations in Dengfeng, and found the crux of the problem. Strictly administer the police, dismiss and dismiss 15 police officers who have not been to work for a long time, absent from work, are late, and participate in violations of law and discipline, and eliminate the black sheep. She also dispatched more than 20 police officers to set up a "special group for accusations and applications," changed petitions from petitions to petitions, changed passive to active, and regarded the investigation and handling of the backlog of petitions and petitions in the prosecution and application work as a "people's heart project." She designated every Saturday as the Day of the Director to Receive the Masses and sincerely listened to the voices of the masses.

On May 3, 2001, a huge gas explosion accident occurred in the Xishi Village Coal Mine in Daye Town, Dengfeng City, killing 13 miners. In dealing with this accident, Ren Changxia learned that the father of 11-year-old girl Liu Chunyu was killed and her mother died suddenly due to heart disease, and she did not hesitate to bear all the costs of Xiao Chunyu's life and study. Ren Changxia also issued an initiative to the people's police to carry out the activity of "100 police officers to help 100 poor students" in the overall situation. Across the city, 126 poor students were rescued and returned to the classroom. The children affectionately called her "Ren Mama".

On the evening of April 14, 2004, Ren Changxia was in a car accident on the way to solve the case and unfortunately died in the line of duty. More than 200,000 people in Dengfeng spontaneously came to mourn.
