However, this sweet smile was forever frozen on the evening of April 14, 2004 - in a car accident on the way to handle the case, Ren Changxia, then director of the Dengfeng City Public Security Bureau, suddenly fell and fell on the hot land for which she had devoted all her efforts, at the age of 40.
How good Ren Changxia is, the people know in their hearts that they like her, love her, and get close to her, and only then will they put on that big red scarf for her. But they have lost this good director and daughter forever, how can they not be sad? On April 11, 2001, Ren Changxia was transferred from the Zhengzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau to the director of the Dengfeng Municipal Public Security Bureau.
At that time, Dengfeng belonged to the high-incidence area of henan province, and the case solving rate was low. In the comprehensive evaluation of more than 30 functional departments in the city, the Dengfeng Municipal Public Security Bureau ranked first from the bottom for many consecutive years.
Just one week after arriving at the post, Ren Changxia ran through the 17 township police stations in Dengfeng, conducted in-depth research, obtained first-hand information, and found out the problems existing in the team. Next, under pressure, she handled a number of people's police officers who violated discipline and the law, put forward the principle of "strict police style, strong quality, and image" and the criterion of "looking at me, learning from me, and supervising me", persisted in strictly administering the police, and resolutely carried out the reform of the personnel system.
While rectifying the police style, Ren Changxia also focused on cracking major cases and breaking the backlog of cases, and launched a series of tough battles. "The director who doesn't personally come to the scene to solve the case is not a good director!" As the head of the Public Security Bureau, Ren Changxia always regarded herself as an ordinary policeman and took the lead as a soldier.
From May 1997 to September 2000, there were 11 rapes in the Wanyanggang area of Dengfeng Xiling, and four of them were raped and killed. Panic hung over every household in the surrounding villages.
At the end of April 2001, a young woman dressed as a woman walked alone in the area. Within a few days, there were two more younger women in the area... The lone woman was Ren Changxia, and the other two young women were also public security policemen. This trick of "luring the snake out of the hole" was thought out by Ren Changxia after careful consideration. After 3 months, the police finally arrested the suspect according to the clues. When the news of the cracking of the case came out, the panic of the people in Wanyanggang, Xiling, for many years was swept away, and many people came to the public security bureau to see the style of the female bureau chief.

Ren Changxia also boldly declared war on the criminal and evil forces in Dengfeng.
Late at night on April 23, 2001, Ren Changxia carefully read the letters from the masses as usual. She was shocked by a letter signed "Villagers on the Shore of Baisha Lake", which detailed the criminal cases of Wang Song and his gang: Wang Song contracted an aquatic products company, formed a security patrol, and carried shotguns and others on Baisha Lake to show off their might, killing people in the grass, beating 117 people, killing 7 people, seriously injuring 5 people, and slightly injuring 12 people.
Seeing the signatures and red fingerprints of more than a hundred villagers at the end of the letter, Ren Changxia was furious and determined to dig up this tumor. In just two months, including Wang Song, all 65 gang members were arrested. Nearly a thousand people in Dengfeng and Yuzhou spontaneously beat gongs and drums, fired firecrackers, and sent pieces of mirror plaques and pennants to the Dengfeng City Public Security Bureau.
Then, the murder case in Guanziling Village was solved, the rape and burning case in Dongjindian Township was broken, and the kidnapping case in Huoshiling Village in Daye Town was solved... In the face of brilliant achievements, the citizens of Dengfeng were completely convinced, and Ren Changxia's name spread throughout the entire Zhongyue land at once. The people of Dengfeng all said: "We have a goddess policeman from Dengfeng, and the case will be broken together." ”
In the past three years, under the leadership of Ren Changxia, the Dengfeng Municipal Public Security Bureau has jumped from the first to last to the top five in the city's democratic style evaluation, and has been rated as a political and legal unit satisfactory to the people of Henan Province. In 2003, the number of awards awarded by individuals and units of the Dengfeng Municipal Public Security Bureau reached a new high.
In the 21 years since joining the police, Ren Changxia has been awarded the first, second and third class of personal merit for many times, and has been rated as the national outstanding people's policeman, the national youth post expert, and the top ten female masters in China. In 2004, Ren Changxia was posthumously awarded the National May Day Labor Medal and the First Class Hero Model of the National Public Security System.

In 2001, Ren Changxia, who had just arrived, decided to set up a reception day for the director to listen to the voices of the masses in the reception room. To her surprise, on the first day, 124 people came, from 8 o'clock to 11:30 p.m., saying too much so much that her face was numb, and she only nibbled on a burnt cake at noon to fill her hunger.
Ren Changxia was determined to grasp and do a good job in the petitioning work as a "people's heart project," and dispatched 20 people's police officers to form a special case group to change the masses' petitions to the people's police. The director's reception day has also changed from once a month to four times, and the telephone number of the director who receives the director is announced to the public - many ordinary people have Ren Changxia's telephone number in their hands, and they even called this number "helpline" at one time.
Ren Changxia often told the people's police: Public security, public security, only by handling things "publicly" can the people be "safe." Every time she listened to the questions reflected by the villagers, she handed them over to the relevant responsible persons in front of the parties and instructed them to reply to the implementation situation in a few days.
During the interview, Ren Changxia learned of a backlog of murders: on the evening of September 8, 1990, two young women in Junzhao Township, Dengfeng City, were killed. The case has remained unsolved. Han Suzhen, the mother of one of the victims, Li Mou, has run up and down hundreds of times for more than 10 years, running from a full head of green silk to a white hair.
Ren Changxia set up a special task force to carry out work as the leader of the group. Her sincerity was supported by the masses, and people gave her clues. One day, an old farmer found Ren Changxia and said, "Director Ren, I see that you are sincerely doing things for the people, I know one thing, which has been in my heart for more than ten years, I have not told anyone, and I want to talk to you today." ”
According to clues provided by the insider, the major rape and murder case that had been deposited for 11 years was finally solved. Han Suzhen couldn't stand on her knees in front of Ren Changxia, and the old tears flowed.
"I also grew up in the countryside, and I will do what I can do for you." This sentence that Ren Changxia said when she received the masses made many ordinary people remember it in their hearts, and they knew: "This is a good bureau chief who can help himself." ”
