The yellow-bellied nectar bird in the Field Manual of Chinese Birds No. 1184 (scientific name: Cinnyris jugularis): A bird of the genus Nectar in the family Sunbird family.

Weight 5-9 g, body length 97-115 mm. It is a small nectar bird. The abdomen is grayish white.
The male has a metallic black-purple chin and thorax , with crimson and grey bands , shoulder spots with brilliant orange-yellow silky feathers , olive-green upperparts , and a metallic purple that shrinks to a narrow stripe in the center of the throat after the breeding season.
Females are blackless , with olive-green upperparts and yellow underparts , usually with pale yellow eyebrow lines. The iris is dark brown , and the mouth and feet are black.
It is found in open mountain forests below 700 meters above sea level. Sexual noise, small flocks jumping between the flowers, and the males sometimes chase each other back and forth, often visiting the forest gardens, coastal scrub and mangroves.
It feeds mainly on nectar, but also eats some other foods such as berries and insects. Propagation uses bark, grass, leaves, etc. to build a long hanging nest with side openings, and lays 2-3 eggs.
It is found in India in the west, the Indochina Peninsula, the Philippine Islands in the east, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Australia, the Solomon Islands, and Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, and Hainan in China.
