listen! What kind of story is happening in Dongying, wandering in the crook of the Bohai Arm

Turning over the map, to the east and north, Dongying was tightly embraced by the Bohai Sea in the crook of his arm. Standing on the tide-proof embankment and looking east, the blue sea waves rolling and rolling, full of infinite vitality. With 413 kilometers of long coastline and 6,000 square kilometers of azure land, the story of Dongying continues to extend to the sea.

Tonghe Aquatic Products built the city's first provincial-level marine ranch.

The sea in Dongying is closely linked to the Yellow River. "You don't see the water of the Yellow River rising from heaven, and it flows to the sea and never returns." The Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai vividly rendered the momentum of the Yellow River falling from the sky and never returning. Although the water of the Yellow River returned to the sea, it unloaded its burden before entering the sea, and stranded the large amount of sediment she carried along the way to the downstream river and the estuary, and had Dongying, the youngest land in the republic. Here, the Yellow River hugs the gushing sea with a creeping posture, and the layers continue to extend towards the vast sea.

Because of this, the sea in Dongying has become different from other places, at the confluence of the river and the sea, you can see the blue sea on one side, on the other hand, the sediment carried by the Yellow River has just entered the sea, and the coast has its own characteristics, which is typical of silt and silt.

What is silt sludge? We can start with the Lone East Sea Embankment. I believe that people who have been to the Gudong Oilfield will see such a strange and spectacular scene, and all the "kowtow machines" keep kowtowing in the direction of the sea, which can be said to be the prelude to the victory oilfield from land to the sea.

In July 1984, Shengli Oilfield discovered the Gudong Oilfield in the east of Bohai Bay and the mouth of the Yellow River in the south. Here, the wilderness is vast and uninhabited for tens of miles, and it is not easy to engage in oil exploration and development. The greater challenge is yet to come, the floodplain tidal zone is formed by the siltation of sub-clay soil under the Yellow River belt, and the water is dissolved and turned into water. In order to engage in oil exploration and development, it is necessary to build a seawall, but building a seawall on this "Jedi" is like building a project on a freshly solidified tofu, and the modern equipment suddenly loses its power.

In order to build the embankment, Shandong Province did a general mobilization to repair the embankment at that time, and the people came from all over the province. In November 1986, after eight months of fighting, the Gudong anti-tide levee was completed. A great wall of the sea stands majestically on The Beach of Gudong, becoming a safety barrier to protect the Gudong Oilfield and known as the "lifeline" of the Gudong Oilfield. The 10.7-kilometer tidal-proof land has driven the sea out of 67.3 square kilometers of land, adding more than 230 million tons of onshore petroleum geological reserves to shengli oilfield.

The geographical conditions at the confluence of the Haihe River have created a special muddy beach in Bohai Bay, and catching shellfish in the sea has gradually become a very distinctive leisure tour project in Dongying. Whenever the tide recedes, visitors can enter the depths of the beach to catch crabs and clams and experience the fisherman's style.

Bohai Bay endows Dongying with rich property resources. It is the main breeding ground for fishery biological resources in the Bohai Sea, with more than 600 kinds of marine life, and is the largest offshore fishing ground in Shandong Province, rich in shrimp, barracuda crab, knife fish, etc., enjoying the reputation of "the hometown of hundreds of fish" and "the hometown of oriental shrimp".

In the 150,000-mu sea area of Shandong Tonghe Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. in the northeast of Hekou District, the National Geographical Indication Product, the Yellow River Estuary Wen Clam, is sucking on the nourishment of the sea and growing hard. The Yellow River carries a large amount of sediment and rich nutrients into the sea, which creates good ecological conditions for the production and breeding of clams at the mouth of the Yellow River. The Yellow River estuary clam is known as the "freshest clam in the world" and is a unique clam in the coastal area of Dongying City. Legend has it that since the Sui and Tang dynasties, it has been a treasure of the imperial palace, a royal delicacy, and when the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty first tasted the clams, he wrote down the words "the first freshest in the world" and passed them on as beautiful talk. At this point, the Yellow River estuary clams are famous all over the world. The clam is a treasure in seafood shellfish, the meat is white and tender, the taste is delicious, rich in protein, inorganic salt and a variety of vitamins, is a high-grade tonic.

However, with the improvement of fishing technology and fishing efficiency in recent years, the decline of offshore fishery resources has been serious, and many traditional fisheries have an embarrassing situation of no fish to catch, and they are on the verge of "desertification". At this time, the idea of a marine ranch was proposed.

What is a Marine Ranch? In layman's terms, it is to use the natural marine ecological environment to gather the marine economic organisms that are artificially multiplied and stocked, and to carry out planned and purposeful marine stocking of marine resources such as fish, shrimp, shellfish and algae like cattle and sheep grazing on land.

The construction of marine ranches in our city began in 2016, mainly based on bottom-sown marine ranches. In 2018, the "Shandong Provincial Marine Ranch Construction Plan" took the waters of the Yellow River Delta as an important plate and incorporated it into the development space layout of the province's marine ranches. The city makes use of the advantages of rich beach resources to accelerate the construction of a modern marine ranch in the "Yellow River Delta (Dongying) Marine Ranch Complex". As of the end of April this year, three bottom-sown marine ranches have been built in Hekou District and Kenli District, namely Tonghe, Haiying and Kanghua, and the development of Dongying Marine Fishery is moving from shoals to deep blue.

Taking marine ranches and deep-water wind-resistant cages as the carrier, bottom-sowing and breeding high-value shellfish such as clams and hair cockles, exploring the cultivation of economic fish such as sea bass, black seabream and grouper, and creating a comprehensive new marine format integrating fry cultivation, three-dimensional aquaculture, deep processing of marine products, and leisure tourism, the vast blue sea is becoming a new driving force for the high-quality development of Dongying.

In addition, when you go to Dongying, you can also taste shrimp, Yellow River estuary hairy crab, Yellow River estuary knife fish, Yellow River estuary sea cucumber, Yellow River estuary three-wart pike crab and other specialties. These specialties enjoy a high reputation and sell well all over the country.

Geologically, the Bohai Bay Basin was once a vast ocean. After experiencing the great changes in the vicissitudes of the mulberry fields, many places have slowly faded the seductive azure blue, exposing the yellow land. What many people don't know is that the Bohai Bay Basin has a rich energy in its broad mind.

In the late 1960s, an oceanographer named Emory was the first to say that the Chinese Sea would be another Persian Gulf, after making extensive geological reports around the world. This news has brought great surprises to China, which is making an "oil shortage", but it has also aroused the coveting of some technologically developed countries. They all wanted a piece of the "other Persian Gulf", setting off a boom in exploration in the surrounding seas. At this time, the relevant person in charge of Shengli Oilfield proposed to keep an eye on the sea and find a way to go to the bottom of the sea to pan for gold. Since 1974, Shengli Oilfield has successively discovered Chengdao Oilfield and Kendong Oilfield in the Bohai Sea, and Dongying's exploration and drilling teams have slowly entered the sea.

The ocean is a far from fully exploited "cornucopia" with abundant resources. The marine economy has become an important part of the city's economy, and its growth pole role has become more and more significant.

Dongying people are very sober, Dongying City's marine economic development started late, the foundation is thin, the foundation is weak, and there are still many bottlenecks restricting the development of the ocean. Last year, the city seized the opportunity, did a good job in the economic and strategic marine article, compiled a three-year action plan for the "construction of a strong marine city", accelerated the transformation and upgrading of marine traditional industries, and promoted the high-quality development of the marine economy.

Building a sound modern marine industry system and further enhancing the ability of the economy and strategy of the ocean is a beautiful blueprint for Dongying to realize the transformation from a large marine city to a strong marine city. According to the plan, in the future, the city will implement six projects such as marine science and technology innovation, marine ecological construction, marine open cooperation, smart marine construction, and maritime safety and security, focusing on the development of nine major marine industries such as modern marine fishery, coastal chemical industry, marine oil and gas industry, port logistics and transportation industry, coastal cultural tourism, marine equipment manufacturing industry, marine biological medicine industry, marine new energy industry, seawater desalination and comprehensive utilization industry, and by 2035, it will be basically completed and coordinated with the deployment of Shandong Marine Strong Province. In line with the strategy of marine power, the sea and land are coordinated, the river and sea are integrated, the marine industry is developed, the marine science and technology is advanced, the marine ecology is good, the comprehensive management of the ocean is efficient, and the marine culture has distinct characteristics.

The best state for human beings to develop and explore the ocean is to "strengthen the country with the sea and harmonize the sea". In the face of this blue sea, General Secretary Xi Jinping once proposed to care for the ocean like life.

"Caring for the ocean" is not a slogan, Dongying Science manages the sea with the sea, adheres to the simultaneous development and protection, explores and moves forward, the yellow and blue symphony is stirred, and a harmonious movement of the sea of people is played.

In 2013, Dongying delineated a 2693.65 square kilometer Marine Ecological RedLine Area in the Bohai Sea, accounting for about 44.89% of the total area under the jurisdiction of the city, and strictly implemented zoning classification management for development activities in the Red Line Area. In recent years, it has also implemented the restoration of vegetation in the artificial shore section and marine wetlands of Guangrao County, the remediation and restoration of the coastal zone east of the Pick River in Lijin County, the capacity building and ecological restoration project of the national marine special protection area in Guangrao County and Lijin County, and the comprehensive improvement and restoration of Guangli Island, and the effect of coastal zone improvement and restoration in Dongying Sea area is prominent.

For fishing ports, in 2006, the city launched the fishery resources restoration action plan, invested a lot of money in the breeding and stocking of 16 kinds of marine economic species, and achieved good results in maintaining the ecological balance of fishery waters in the Yellow River Delta region, improving the structure of fishery resource groups, and promoting the formation of natural populations. In recent years, the city has incorporated marine ecological environmental protection into the comprehensive assessment, and at the same time issued the "Dongying City Coastal Water Pollution Prevention and Control Work Plan", strengthening source control, strictly controlling pollution into the sea, and further improving the water quality of coastal waters.

Ports are an important vehicle for holding hands with cities and oceans. There are two major ports in Dongying Port and Guangli Port in Dongying, which have played an important role in promoting the development of Dongying's characteristic industries.

Driving all the way east from the central city, you can see the closest sea to the city in half an hour, which is also the original sea that many Dongying people remember, and the Guangli Port Area is located here.

Building a comprehensive seaport adjacent to the urban area and serving the city is the dream of Dongying people. However, due to the constraints of nature, history and other factors, Guangli Port has not "set sail". Until 2013, Dongying made a decision to use the city's strength to develop and build Guangli Port. In September 2017, Guangli Port opened for navigation. With the rise of this new modern port, Dongying's marine economy has taken off and plugged in the "twin engines".

Dongying Port is one of the ports with the longest construction time in Dongying. In 1984, Shengli Oilfield built a port in Dongying, which was only used as a production service facility for the oilfield, and the wharf grade was low. Later, the port gradually built a small wharf of 3,000 tons and 5,000 tons, and the largest 50,000 tons of liquid chemical berths was affected by the weather and the average annual work was only about 270 days.

With the decision of the provincial party committee and the provincial government to build a high-end petrochemical industry base in Lubei, Dongying Port, which is supported by the Dongying petrochemical industry, has been somewhat inadequate, and the overall scale is small, the deep-water berth is small, and the wharf level is low. The lack of a large wharf has become a bottleneck that seriously restricts the economic development of the hinterland, and it cannot support Dongying as a refining and chemical integration area of Lubei's high-end petrochemical industry base. Starting from September 25, 2019, with the start of the 2×100,000-ton liquid bulk cargo berth project, Dongying Port, which has been built for 36 years, has officially entered the era of "big wharf". After the completion of the project, the water depth of the channel can reach -17 meters, which can not only meet the navigation requirements of 100,000 tons of ships, but also realize the load reduction of 300,000 tons of ships.

On June 23 this year, There was good news from Dongying Port, and the 250,000-ton crude oil import berth and the pre-examination opinion for supporting projects were approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources, which marked that large tankers could directly dock at Dongying Port in the future, reducing the dependence of crude oil required by refining and chemical enterprises in the hinterland on ship transfer transportation, vehicle transportation and ultra-long pipeline transportation, effectively reducing logistics and transportation costs, and enhancing the strategic position of Dongying Port.

The fishing port is an important production tool and production site for coastal fishermen to survive, and Guangli Fishing Port is one of the fishing ports in our city. Guangli Fishing Port is about 10 kilometers away from Guangli Port Area, and more than 1,000 large and small fishing boats are neatly moored in the harbor. It was the time of the fishing moratorium, the waves lapping against the side of the boat, quiet and warm, fishermen busy tinkering with nets, and shops next to the pier selling a variety of seafood.

In 1992, in order to promote the development of the city's marine fishing industry, the municipal government moved into three fishing villages from other places. Mr. Wan, a 67-year-old fisherman, was one of the first fishermen to move to the fishing village. Born into a family that has been fishing for generations, where they can fish is their home. At that time, Mr. Wan came to Dongying from Jining Weishan Lake with his family and settled down in Dongying, and took root in Dongying for 30 years. He said it was the sea that fed the family. Today, Mr. Wan's four sons also inherit their father's business and continue to engage in fishing.

All the way to the east, the sails of the Dongying Blue Economy have been opened. In the future, the construction of a nationally renowned river and sea ecological civilization city, a world-class marine petrochemical industry strong city, and a strong modern characteristic fishery city around the Bohai Sea is worth looking forward to!
