The Spring Festival Gala held by CCTV in 1983 was the first Spring Festival Gala held by CCTV after the reform and opening up. That summer, Lu Jing had just graduated from the Beijing Broadcasting Institute (now the Communication University of China) and was assigned to work in the broadcasting team of the CCTV News Department. "I really didn't expect to let me host, I was very unexpected and nervous, the pressure was greater than the excitement", Lu Jing described: "In 1983, I was still in school, I didn't pay much attention to the Spring Festival Gala, and I had no concept of the host. After careful planning by the director team, the Spring Festival Gala crew gathered at a hotel in Nancheng, Beijing, more than a month before the Spring Festival, to prepare for the Spring Festival Gala, rehearse, discuss scripts and lines, and modify the process... According to Lu Jing, various details have been changed countless times, until the last few minutes before the opening.
"At the beginning, I mainly contacted the teachers in the director group, and Teacher Ma Ji and Teacher Jiang Kun have also been involved, they have rich stage experience and participated in the Spring Festival Gala in 1983, so they are very concerned about me as a novice, taking me as a little sister, and Teacher Zhao Zhongxiang has always encouraged me." Recalling the scene of preparing for the Spring Festival Gala at that time, Lu Jing is still full of gratitude.
Under the care and help of the seniors, Lu Jing's performance on the Spring Festival Gala stage was fresh and simple, and she did not see any tension at all. Lu Jing and her party took the introduction letter to the Friendship Store to purchase party clothes. Lu Jing remembered very clearly, she picked out a beige high-necked shirt with ruffles, and a pair of very beautiful high heels, "milky white, lambskin, the front is hollowed out." The shirt costs 16 bucks and the shoes cost 21 bucks. She only wore this pair of leather shoes once at the Spring Festival Gala scene that year, and has been treasured ever since. Later, the school prepared to build a media museum, and Lu Jing donated this pair of leather shoes with special significance to her alma mater.
In the 1980s, the announcers of the news network all put on their own makeup, with rough makeup and poor quality cosmetics. At the Spring Festival Gala that year, CCTV invited makeup artist Xu Jing to do makeup styling for the host and actors. But in the experience of studying abroad later, she found that children abroad are very confident, very willing and good at expression, teachers and students can communicate and discuss very equally, without reprimand and sarcasm, which changed her understanding of education and triggered her thinking about teaching methods. Therefore, after returning to China, she returned to her alma mater to join the front-line teaching team, hoping to pass on her educational philosophy and experience to the children.
Lu Jing treats students, no matter how strong or talented they are, she hopes that all students can be inspired by her and gain something. Equal treatment and teaching according to her aptitude are her teaching principles.
"Everyone is different, and I look at the students' mindset and pay attention to empathy.
