This discipline direction is cryogenic biomedicine, and the Institute of Biosystem Thermal Science of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (formerly known as the Institute of Cryogenic Medicine and Food Freezery) is in its 40th year this year. On the morning of October 19, the 40th anniversary celebration of the Institute of Biological Systems Thermal Science was held at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology. The event kicked off with the broadcast of the theme short film "Temperature and Life". The short film reviewed the development process of the discipline and the institute since its establishment, and showed the achievements of the institute in basic research, technological innovation and its industrial application, talent training, etc., which deeply moved and inspired every participant present.
