In the western coastal area of Vladivostok, a city in the Russian Far East, stands a gray high-rise building, with a red and white crab in the center of the circular plaque above the entrance to the building, which is the office building of the Russia Crab Group. As one of the largest crab fishing companies in Russia, the group currently has 39 fishing vessels and 2,500 crew members, which account for about a quarter of the total annual catch in the waters of the Far East.

Yulia ·Yurova, vice president of the group, said that China's crab consumption is growing rapidly, and Russia crab industry group exported 3,000 tons of king crab to China last year, and it is expected to reach 5,100 tons of king crab this year. More than 90% of the world's king crab is produced in Russia, and the most suitable fishing season for king crab is from September to December every year, and live and frozen crabs are mainly sold in the Chinese market.

The Hunchun Port of China and Russia is only 42 kilometers away from the port of Poshet in Russia and 71 kilometers away from the port of Zarubino. In 2016, Hunchun Port was officially approved as a designated port for the import of chilled seafood and edible aquatic animals, becoming the main channel for Russia king crabs to enter China.

Every morning, at the Hunchun port in Jilin Province, king crabs are transported from the distant deep sea to China as trucks loaded with fresh seafood from Russia pour in. With the help of logistics networks such as railways and airlines, fresh king crab can be delivered to tables across the country on the same day at the earliest.
