After the X-Trail PHEV, Nissan plans to introduce the X-Trail e-POWER model to the United States market in 2026. At present, the X-Trail on sale in China is equipped with e-POWER gasoline electric drive system except for the classic model. The system consists of a 1.5T three-cylinder engine and dual motors, the 1.5T three-cylinder engine is only responsible for generating electricity and does not directly drive the wheels, and the vehicle is powered by two drive motors at the front and rear. Among them, the front motor has a maximum power of 150 kilowatts and a peak torque of 330 Nm· meters; The rear motor has a maximum power of 100 kW and a peak torque of 195 Nm·m. The entire e-POWER system works in a similar way to a range-extender hybrid, but the main difference is that the e-POWER system cannot be externally charged.
