On October 15, Tesla officially announced the launch of a time-limited transfer policy for users in the Chinese market of Full Self-Driving Capability (FSD). Prior to this, Tesla had offered a similar policy once in July last year.
According to the official introduction, old car owners who enjoy FSD rights and interests can transfer the FSD rights and interests of the original car to the new car if they place an order and deliver all Model S/3/X/Y models before December 31, 2024 (inclusive).
It is worth mentioning that on September 5 this year, Tesla issued a document saying that the Chinese version and the European version of FSD (full self-driving capability) are expected to be launched in the first quarter of next year, and the function is still in the state of "waiting for regulatory approval".
Although Tesla's FSD has not yet been launched in the Chinese market, it has been sold with the Model 3 as early as when it was released, and the current optional price is 64,000 yuan. According to foreign media sources, Tesla also plans to launch an FSD subscription system in China, with a price of $98 (about 695 yuan) per month.
In April this year, during Tesla CEO Elon Musk's visit to China, a number of car companies, including Tesla, announced that they had completed all approvals for data compliance. At that time, Tesla's official voice was made twice, mentioning the acceleration of the implementation of autonomous driving technology. However, the company has not yet announced the timetable for FSD entry into China. For Tesla, the specific landing time of FSD is still to be further announced by the official.
