Under the two-wheel drive of new energy and automobile exports, BYD, Chery, Geely, Changan and Great Wall, known as the "Five Tigers", have all ushered in the "Golden Nine" market. The sales of the five car companies in September all exceeded the 100,000 mark, and BYD, Chery, and Geely built a new "independent three" pattern with more than 200,000 units.

At the same time as the sales volume ushered in a breakthrough, Geely Group recently officially released the "Taizhou Declaration", announcing that the company has entered a new stage of strategic transformation, and will focus on the main automotive business, lay out the technology ecology, enhance competitiveness, and seek progress while maintaining stability through five major measures in the future: "strategic focus, strategic integration, strategic synergy, strategic stability, and strategic talents". Li Shufu, chairman of Geely, has repeatedly mentioned that the company's operation needs to develop steadily, and it is not in a hurry to achieve quick success.
Unlike the "top three", Chang'an and Great Wall suffered negative growth in September. According to the data, in September, the sales of Chang'an and Great Wall were 172636 and 108398 respectively, down 8.49% and 10.88% year-on-year respectively; The cumulative sales in the first three quarters were 1584526 and 853813, respectively, an increase of 2.28% and -1.18% year-on-year.

According to the data released by Dongfeng Group, from January to September, Dongfeng Motor's own brand vehicle sales were 996,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 43.7%.

Chery fulfills the "you're welcome" declaration
As a leading enterprise in the field of new energy in China, BYD continues to expand its leading edge.
Chery's new energy segment exceeded the 50,000 mark in September, with sales of 58,941 units, a year-on-year increase of 183.4%, creating a record high and entering the "top four in the industry".
In the same period last year, Chery Group's new energy sales ranking has not yet entered the top 10 in the industry, and since the beginning of this year, it has successively stepped through 25,000, 30,000, 40,000 and 50,000 units, and the cumulative sales volume in the first three quarters was 331788, a year-on-year increase of 186.4%, fulfilling the declaration of "new energy is no longer polite" promised by Yin Tongyue, chairman of Chery Automobile, at Chery Global Science and Technology Day last year.
The rapid growth of Chery's new energy sales is due to the strong empowerment of "Technology Chery". Chery Group adheres to the flexible development strategy of "synergy between oil and electricity, integration of advantages", and adopts a multi-technology route of multi-brand differentiated layout and simultaneous development of "hybrid, extended range, pure electric and hydrogen energy".
Geely, Changan and Changan's new energy models also achieved varying degrees of growth in September. According to the data, in August, the sales of new energy vehicles of Geely, Changan and Great Wall were 91,134, 54,383 and 30,129 respectively, an increase of 76%, 35.54% and 37.58% year-on-year respectively; The cumulative sales in the first three quarters were 545854, 447618 and 211492 respectively, an increase of 93%, 46% and 24.15% year-on-year respectively.

At the beginning of this year, Gu Huinan, general manager of GAC Aion, set a high-profile annual sales target of "guaranteeing 700,000 units and striving for 800,000 units". Judging from the current sales situation and trend, GAC Aion will be difficult to achieve the annual target.
Diversified layout of export business
In terms of overseas business, Chery won the first place in the "double" sales volume in a single month and cumulative sales. According to official data released by Chery, 109048 units were exported in September, a year-on-year increase of 20.6%; Total exports in the first three quarters were 829353 units, reflecting a 24.5% y/y increase.
Relying on the foundation of "Technology Chery", Chery Group adheres to the product strategy of "synergy between oil and electricity, integration of advantages", and intensively launches new products of fuel, hybrid, extended range and pure electric vehicles, striving to bring diversified and differentiated choices to global users.
SAIC, which is also a leader in "going overseas", delivered 806,000 vehicles in overseas markets from January to September, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%. In September, the cumulative global sales of the MG ZS, the main model overseas, exceeded 700,000 units. In the first nine months of this year, the cumulative delivery volume of SAIC's MG brand in the European market exceeded 180,000 units, and sales continued to maintain positive year-on-year growth.

Through the layout of various drive models, the scale of Continental's automobile exports continues to break through.
