Mr. Zhao Hainan sent me his drawings that he was about to pay, and when I opened them, one after another, the shrimp jumped on the paper, vivid, and played between a flood of blue springs: or chasing and playing, or with a love pulse, a quiet and elegant realm, making people pleasing to the eye and relaxed.
Shiraishi old man's art is famous all over the world, exquisite painting skills, full of spirit, especially the painting of shrimp as the most important. Mr. Ye Qianyu, a master of Chinese painting, has a feeling in the shrimp painting of the old man of Baishi: "The mental state of the shrimp, the elastic transparent body of the shrimp, and the movement of the shrimp floating in the water perfectly express the three elements of the artistic modeling of 'shape', 'quality' and 'movement', which can be described as a must in the painting world." Mr. Hainan grasped the essentials of the "shape, quality and movement" of the old man of Baishi painting shrimp, studied hard, for decades as a day, contemplated the structure, painted the shrimp with both form and spirit, the aura appeared, the dynamics were different, and the old man of Baishi was truly passed on. Mr. Wen Baishi Sun Qi Linggen carved a seal of "White Stone Heir" for Mr. Hainan, which is not vain.
"Those who learn from me are born, and those who are like me die" --- old man Shiraishi used this to warn the descendants who studied his painting. Mr. Hainan's painting is to learn the spirit of the old man of Shiraishi, not to imitate, but to base himself on lofty vision, carefully pondering the master's teaching that "too much is kitsch, not like it is deceitful", and the magic lies between similarity and dissimilarity", from which many true meanings were realized. He is also good at starting from reality, carefully observing the activity characteristics of shrimp, constantly stopping at the calm mirror lakeside, crouching next to the pond of water and grass, and lingering on the bottom of the clear stream. Carefully observe the various forms of shrimp, become familiar with the heart, and even reach the selfless state of shrimp and I forget twice. Therefore, his shrimp qingjun is flexible and interesting, and his paintings are highly appreciated. People called him "Zhao Shrimp" and was known as Sanxiang.
Mr. HaiNan is intelligent by nature, and he not only paints shrimp well, but also paints other subjects very evocatively. The bamboo he painted gives people a sense of tranquility and beauty, and the upright and high-minded atmosphere is fully displayed. His paintings of mandarin fish are alive and well, and the sense of agility is fully alive, highlighting the harmonious beauty of nature. The peaches he painted are beautiful and mouth-watering.
Mr. HaiNan paints, the pen is strong, dignified and generous, quite a family style. Tasting Mr. Hainan's works, I think that I have inherited the artistic skills of Master Qi Baishi in the three elements of "shape, quality and movement" in art, and have achieved a small amount, a lot. The pen is sharp. I expect him to keep climbing to the heights of art.

Zhao Hainan was born in 1946 in Xiangtan County, Qi Baishi's hometown. He is currently a professor, a member of the Hunan Provincial Artists Association, the China Qi Baishi Research Association, the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, a director of the Friendship Center of the China Artists Association, the vice president of the Hunan Provincial Dexin Ruishu Court, the Vice President of the National Academy of Painting of China, and a disciple of Lou Shibai. Mr. Zhao Hainan has long been engaged in the research of Qi Baishi art. Learning to paint shrimp in white stone is not only to get its form but also to get its god. The shrimp painted is crystal clear, fleshy, bone strength, double tongs and mighty, long whiskers and phoenix tails, lifelike on the paper, has the reputation of "Zhao Blind".
Mr. Zhao Hainan has successfully held solo exhibitions in Changsha and Russia for many times. His works have participated in the Capital Art Fair, Guangzhou International Art Fair, China Famous Artists and Baishi Art Exhibition and other exhibitions. "Chinese Art Painter", "Wen Wei Po", "China Culture Daily", "China Procuratorial Daily", as well as the only Chinese newspaper in Russia "Dragon Bao", "Russian "Culture Newspaper", "Workers Daily" and many other newspapers and magazines, Hunan Education Television, Hunan Satellite TV, the Netherlands and other relevant EU countries radio, television and network media have reported on his works and artistic activities. His work has been exported to Russia, the Netherlands, Japan, the United States, South Korea and Southeast Asian countries. The descendants of Qi Baishi praised his works, and Mr. Qi Jinping, a painter of Baishi Sun who was over eighty years old, wrote an inscription for him: "Hai Nanjun paints shrimp-shaped gods, which can be called the descendants of Baishi". Teacher Qi Linggen, a painter of Baishisun, praised the inscription: "Mr. Hainan's painting efforts are between similar and dissimilar, and the true meaning of my ancestors is also", and engraved a seal of "Hundred Stones Passed on to the People" as a gift. Mr. Zhou Lingzhao, the author of the first Mao statue of tiananmen City Tower, praised it as "quite the essence of a hundred teachers".
