Recently, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman released a new issue of the "Power On" newsletter, exposing several new Apple products -
低端 Apple Vision 头显
Mark Gurman said that Apple plans to launch a low-end Apple Vision headset as early as next year, which is expected to cost around $2,000, which is currently about 14,152 yuan. For reference, the high-end Vision Pro currently on sale is priced from 29,999 yuan.
In comparison, the price of the low-end Apple Vision is indeed a lot cheaper, but it will also be downgraded in other aspects. It is reported that it will likely use the same A18 Pro chip as the iPhone 16 Pro, which is close to the performance of the M1 but not as good as the M2 on the Vision Pro.
At the same time, the low-end Apple Vision will also remove the "EyeSight" feature, which is used to transmit the user's eyes to the outside screen to let those around you know your real-time status. In addition, the body shell may also be replaced with a lower-cost plastic material.
智能显示屏 + homeOS 系统
Mark Gurman said Apple is trying to capture the smart home market with a "new and aggressive" strategy, this time with the goal of developing a new homeOS operating system and smart displays.
In fact, last month, Mark Gurman predicted that Apple's smart display products, including a high-end model codenamed J595, will use a combination of "robotic arm + iPad-like screen" design, running the new tvOS-based homeOS system.
There is also a low-end model, codenamed J490, which is expected to feature a square screen for FaceTime and controlling home appliances. This product is expected to be launched as early as next year, and is expected to be equipped with an A18 chip, priced at no less than $1,000, which is currently about 7,080 yuan.
AirPods headphones with camera
This product has been exposed for a long time, and its camera does not allow users to take photos and videos, but is similar to the Face ID receiver on the iPhone, which is the infrared camera.
Adding an infrared camera to your AirPods is primarily designed to sense changes in your environment, so that when used with a Vision Pro or other headset, you can improve the spatial computing and audio experience.
For example, if a user is watching a video with both the Vision Pro and the new AirPods, when they turn their head to look in a particular direction, the sound source in that direction is emphasized, enhancing spatial audio. At the same time, air gesture operation can also be implemented to enhance human-computer interaction.
AirPods with an infrared camera also offer new accessibility features for the visually impaired, using the infrared camera to scan the surroundings and then provide voice feedback to the user through the headphones. According to Mark Gurman, the product is expected to be released in 2027.
Smart glasses
Similar to Meta's latest Ray-Ban glasses, the glasses will have a built-in camera, speakers, and microphone, without a display, and are also expected to launch in 2027.
Based on Ray-Ban, these glasses can be used as Bluetooth headphones to listen to music and make phone calls. You can also use the glasses' built-in camera to take photos, videos, and even live broadcasts with your first vision without taking out your mobile phone. And, of course, AI features.
So, which new product are you most looking forward to?
