A new batch of GMO safety certificates has been approved!

On October 11, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs released the 2024 Agricultural GMO Safety Certificate Approval List (2).

According to the "Regulations on the Safety Management of Agricultural Genetically Modified Organisms" and its supporting regulations, after the evaluation of the Agricultural Genetically Modified Organism Safety Committee, 3 transgenic plants were renewed for import as raw materials for processing safety certificates upon expiration, 167 production and application safety certificates were renewed upon expiration of the validity period (1 transgenic plant, 14 genetically modified microorganisms for animals and 152 insect-resistant cotton), and 5 production and application safety certificates were issued for the first time (1 transgenic plant and 4 genetically modified microorganisms for animals).
