The election of the sixth-term Chief Executive of the Macau S.A.R. Special Administrative Region was held today (13 October). Shun Ho-fai was elected as the sixth-term Chief Executive-elect and received 394 valid votes, with a vote rate of 98.99%.
The polling station for the CE election was set up in the conference hall of the Commercial and Trade Co-operation Service Platform Complex between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, and the whole election process started at 10 a.m. and lasted about one hour and 35 minutes.
A total of 398 members of the Election Committee attended and participated in the voting, and after the counting and counting of votes by the staff, and the checking of the ballot papers by members of the Election Management Commission and the candidates' representatives, the result was 394 valid votes and 4 blank votes.

After the results of the counting were confirmed by the General Accounting Committee, the Chairman of the Chief Executive Election Management Committee, Song Minli, announced that Mr. Shum Ho-fai received 394 votes, more than half of all members of the Election Committee, and was elected as the sixth Chief Executive-designate of the Macau S.A.R. Region.
