The relevant person in charge of the fifth brigade of Nanjing traffic police high-speed told reporters that there are many open ramps on the airport expressway, and many overloaded vehicles will pass from here, which not only pollutes the environment by throwing drips, but also brings safety hazards to bridges and roads. After the installation of the dynamic weighing detection system, it can automatically identify the vehicle number plate, axle number, load capacity and other information when the vehicle passes, and the whole process is "manual zero operation", which realizes the high-efficiency detection of "no stopping" and ensures the safety and smoothness of road traffic.

The system is located near the airport expressway K10 (Nanjing city to the airport), and will start construction on October 15, and is expected to be completed and put into use before December 15. The construction will occupy two motorways, divided into warning area, transition area, buffer zone, etc., and the total length of the entire construction operation area and protection area is about 3 kilometers.

In order to ensure maximum safety, facilitate passage and reduce congestion, the construction was carried out in three phases.

Phase 1:

It is expected that from October 15, 2024, the construction period will be about 22 days, and the first and second lanes will be occupied for construction throughout the day, and the third and fourth lanes will be maintained.

Phase 2:

Since the completion of the first phase, the construction period is about 19 days, and the third and fourth lanes will be occupied for construction throughout the day, and the first and second lanes will be maintained.

Stage 3:

Since the completion of the second phase, the construction period will be about 21 days, and the fourth lane and emergency lane will be occupied for construction throughout the day, and the first, second and third lanes will be maintained.

During the construction period, the Nanjing traffic police will accurately divert the road section, set up construction notice boards at 8 entrances such as the Huashenmiao hub, the entrance of the main and auxiliary roads of the airport expressway, and the Cuipingshan interchange, and jointly update the construction of the road section and optimize the traffic route in advance with the mainstream navigation software, and do a good job of travel reminders. Construction warning signs, speed limit signs and other facilities will also be set up on the upstream electronic screen in the operation area of the construction section, and safety protection facilities and equipment such as lighting, luminous warning, and anti-collision vehicles will be added.

During the construction period, considering the large traffic flow of the airport expressway, there may be congestion, and the police of the fifth brigade of the Nanjing traffic police issued a suggestion: qualified car owners can detour.

"Vehicles from Nanjing urban area to Nanjing Lukou Airport, Moling and other places can bypass General Avenue through the airport high-speed distribution lane Cuipingshan Interchange, which is 2 kilometers longer and takes 8 minutes more than the airport high-speed traffic in the unconstructed state." Jin Long, deputy head of the fifth brigade of the expressway, introduced.

It is understood that drivers can detour from three routes, as follows:

Detour Route 1:

Cuipingshan Interchange - Jiangjun Avenue - Zhengfang Middle Road - Moling Interchange on the Airport Expressway, with a bypass mileage of 10.5 kilometers, takes 22 minutes, and increases the travel time by 10 minutes.

Detour Route 2:

Cuipingshan Interchange - Suyuan Avenue - Zhengfang Middle Road - Moling Interchange on the Airport Expressway, with a bypass mileage of 12.7 kilometers, takes 27 minutes, and increases the travel time by 12 minutes.

Detour Route 3:

Cuipingshan Interchange - Shuanglong Avenue - Zhengfang Middle Road - Moling Interchange on the Airport Expressway, with a bypass mileage of 13.9 kilometers, taking 30 minutes and increasing the travel time by 20 minutes.

Traffic police remind:

When the driver passes through the construction section, he should drive in accordance with the principle of "speed reduction, distance control, and bright tail", strengthen safety warnings and reminders, and drive cautiously in case of lane reduction, alternate traffic, pay attention to observation and avoid construction personnel and equipment in time. In the event of a minor traffic accident, the person concerned should evacuate the scene quickly and report to the police to avoid secondary accidents and more congestion.
