On both sides of the Min River, there are often many photography enthusiasts operating drones to record river scenes, and 65-year-old Lin Meihua is also one of them.
As a photography enthusiast, Lin Meihua has ten years of shooting experience. With a heart of love for life, she shuttles through the streets and alleys of Fuzhou City with "long guns and short cannons", grabbing the beauty in the corners as she likes.
Lin Meihua said that the contact with photography and videography and retouching and editing was accidental. "After retiring in 2015, my life was much more leisurely. At the suggestion of my wife, I signed up for a retouching course at Fuzhou University for the Elderly. In the first class, Lin Meihua was deeply attracted by the picture stitching skills taught by the teacher, and she was determined to "gnaw through" the retouching software.
"Interest is the best teacher," Lin Meihua recalled, "When I started retouching, I could say that I 'forgot to eat and sleep', and I sat in front of the computer from waking up to bedtime and followed the online class practice." After years of learning, Lin Meihua was not only proficient in operating retouching software, but also further learned video and audio editing software.
At the beginning of this year, Lin Meihua bought a drone. "Compared with the SLR, the drone has a wider angle, a higher sailing altitude, and a better picture effect." After learning the system, she tried to use drones to take aerial photos of Jin'an Lake, and once the video was released, it received a lot of praise from relatives, friends, friends and netizens.

Before her retirement, she was a mathematics teacher with a rigorous and serious attitude in her teaching work. When making short videos, she also gave full play to this "more real energy". "At the beginning of August this year, I made a video introducing the origin of the title of 'Banyan City' in Fuzhou, which has received more than 200,000 views and more than 10,000 likes." Behind the high traffic, Lin Meihua spent more than ten days shooting and editing. "To a certain extent, this video can let friends from other places know Fuzhou, so I want to make sure that nothing goes wrong." In order to ensure the authenticity of the content, Lin Meihua walked around the library while shooting materials, repeatedly verified the planting history and stories of various banyan trees in Fuzhou, and finally finalized the copy. "Many local netizens in Fuzhou left messages, saying that through my videos, they learned more about the city tree and hometown, and I was both moved and felt a sense of achievement."
"Sister Red Riding Hood" Lin Meihua
Because she likes to wear a red hat when she travels, Lin Meihua named her account "Sister Red Hat", just like her warm and positive attitude towards life. In her bio, there is a sentence written: "Life needs to be recharged". "Although I am getting older, the rest of my life is 'very expensive', and doing more of what I like while I can run and look back in the future is a 'waste' of time but a happy thing."
