MAGIC PLACE is located in Building 10, Jing'an Xinye Square, Shanghai, which is a 70-year-old building.
MAGIC PLACE is a new corporate headquarters landmark and brand exhibition hall created by Meiji Group and Cui Shu
As an important display window of Meiji Group, it is a comprehensive platform integrating cultural experience, aesthetic enjoyment, art appreciation and product co-creation.
With years of practical experience and deep insight in the field of office environment design, Cui Shu presents a new multi-functional and complex social space that integrates work and art lifestyles for the public.
The Great Wave of Bamboo
In the renovation of the building where MAGIC PLACE is located, Cui Shu retained the characteristics of the original structure as a whole, and focused the design direction on the interior space.
By deconstructing the basic material elements of the building, such as metal, bamboo, wood, and cement, a new interpretation is made in the space.
The reception desk, made of fine bamboo and wood, continues to wrap around the spiral staircase like a whirlpool, winding up to the second floor.
The high-height partition wall painted with gold art paint is also surrounded by bamboo curves, and the beams of the original building are wrapped with mirrored stainless steel, which eliminates the presence of the structure, and also makes the silver stainless steel and gold art paint directly echo each other, and the direct unity and contrast of color and texture express the restrained and undercurrent of space emotion.
As if the sparkling sea at sunrise has infinite possibilities, the curves of bamboo weaving become the waves of transition, jointly constructing the most tense visual center of gravity in the space.
The elements of bamboo also extend to the second floor to form the decorative surface of the partition wall, which is more breathable than the traditional decorative panels, and also forms a good echo with the century-old camphor outside the window, which is a good symbol of the ecological office environment.
Open interface
The overall appearance of the building is based on the characteristics of the original structure, and the new steel frame structure gives the building a more modern cantilevered structure, giving the building a new viewing angle.
The large area of glass floor-to-ceiling windows provides a panoramic presentation of the interior space, and also reduces the presence of the building itself, showing the beauty of harmony with the surrounding natural environment.
On the premise of retaining most of the open space, glass partitions are used as much as possible for the conference room to enhance the transparency and interaction of the space.
An inner courtyard is nested in the building, and the large glass structure design of the inner courtyard brings natural daylight into the interior, forming a migratory circulation line around the inner courtyard.
Two transparent glass partitions are arranged at both ends of the meeting space, which not only gives the meeting room an open and transparent visual experience, but also greatly improves the flexibility and comfort of the meeting space.
In a large conference room in the center of the space, a concrete column carrying the memory of the development of New China is retained, which is not only a monument to the memory of the past, but also an entrance to the present and the future to look back at history.
Social, interactive, integrated
As a well-known office furniture brand in China, Meiji has been adhering to the office philosophy of "socialization, interaction and integration".
Cui Shu also integrated the brand concept into the design of the Progress Hall, fully considering the flexibility and functionality of the space, constructing different scenes, and integrating Meiji's different furniture product portfolios into it.
It is not only a showroom for furniture, but also an office environment with actual use scenarios.
The stepped event space at the entrance on the first floor can accommodate small-scale events such as salon sharing and brand launches, and as people walk along the circulation line, a rich and diverse combination of social scenes unfolds around the inner courtyard.
There is no need for physical partition walls, and only relying on the combination of different forms of home furnishings to build different scales and forms of communication and negotiation activities in the open space, with the floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, the space is more transparent and flexible.
The cantilevered end of the office is both an office and a medium-sized meeting, the gray mirror ceiling magnifies the longitudinal height of the space, and the modern materials give the space a sense of cold authority.
Surrounded by lush tree shadows outside the glass window, it can effectively relieve people's eye fatigue in the tense office environment, and at the same time, make MAGIC PLACE seem to be a tree house that grows out, perfectly integrated with nature.
The concept of the future of office life is much more about the furniture itself, but more about an in-depth understanding of customer needs and individual preferences.
MAGIC PLACE is not only a place to show, but also an exploration and practice of the future office lifestyle, committed to aesthetics and art.
Integrate the design concept into the actual office environment, so that the "exhibition hall" can return to a real and natural living state, and create a happier and more efficient ideal office space for people.

With the development of the company, CUN DESIGN's design works from the focus on space design, gradually extended to a wider range of design fields, in recent years, CUN DESIGN has focused on and focused on helping real estate enterprises to solve practical problems from the root of industrial layout, so as to amplify the commercial value of real estate projects.
Therefore, CUN DESIGN especially proposes a design solution for real estate enterprises - [solution design], in the early stage of design, it is necessary to have insight into the relevant policy guidance, combined with its own development demands and the operational characteristics of the benchmarking project, and accurately locate the project design purpose and task. Analyze the consumption trends of the audience, conceive and build the appropriate supply and demand relationship, and build the core competitiveness that leads the development trend of the industry.
On the one hand, it is an effective way to improve the efficiency of operation and management and reduce the cost of operation and management. At the same time, it measures the audience's receptivity, makes the spatial visual form the guide in a targeted manner, and makes systematic thinking and judgment in combination with multi-dimensional related design art categories, redefines the amazing space experience in the controllable construction cost, amplifies the core features of the project, and sets a benchmark for the development of the industry.
