As of the end of September, the 24/25 QS, USNews, Rankings, CUG, Times, and The Guardian have all been released (to check the specific ranking of an institution, you can consult by private message~),
Of the key university rankings, only two have not yet been updated:
One is the Times World University Rankings, one of the four major world university rankings, and the other is the University Compare (UC) United Kingdom University Rankings, which is known as the "University Public Review".
而就在最近,UC领先一步,发布了“2025 Uni Compare Ranking Top 100”!

Unlike QS, which focuses on academic indicators, the UC rankings are more similar to the Guardian rankings, with a strong focus on student evaluations, which is one of the reasons why it is known as the "public review of United Kingdom universities".
This year's UC ranking indicators are still four:
- Stay experience
- Course quality
- Social life
- Graduation employment
In addition, during the questionnaire survey, UC will ask graduates whether they would recommend their university to their friends, and record the percentage of those who recommend them.
Based on these indicators, UC has also produced the 2025 United Kingdom University Top 100 rankings:

Champion this one, who are you?
M50 Winland Art
When you see the first one, you may be thinking:
Who is this? I've never heard of it...
Nottingham Trent University (NTU), one of the two main universities in the city of Nottingham (the other is of course the University of Nottingham).
I haven't heard of it, probably because the school's QS comprehensive ranking is only in the 500-600 range,
But at the same time, the school can be ranked 12th in the United Kingdom in the QS Art and Design Subject List, and is an important gathering place for artists (especially fashion designers) in the United Kingdom and abroad.
You may not believe it, but NTU's history dates back to 1843 as the Nottingham Government School of Art, and since then, it has remained as the school's School of Art and Design.
As a comprehensive university developed from the School of Arts, NTU and Goldsmiths, University of London, are "in the same situation", that is, they are seriously biased, and their comprehensive rankings have always been less impressive than those of art subjects.
NTU offers a wide range of art and design majors, including:
Architecture, Performing Arts, Digital Screen Arts, Fashion, Fine Arts, Games, Film and Television, Photography, Product Design, Visual Communication and other disciplines are all offered majors.
However, the most well-known of these majors is undoubtedly NTU's Fashion discipline, which is divided into several specializations at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels:
BSc Fashion & Materials Technology
BSc Business Analytics in Fashion
Creative curation of BA Fashion
BA/MA 时尚传播与推广
BA/MA sleek design
BA Fashion Management
BA/MA fashion print cut
BA/MA 时尚营销与品牌
BA/MA Textile Design
BA/MA Fashion Knitwear & Knit Design
MA Fashion & Textiles
MA International Fashion Management
MA Luxury Brand Management
Among them, the school's textile design major has been recognized by the Chartered Designers Society of United Kingdom (CSD), and the gold content is extremely high.
However, the application threshold for such a high-value major is much lower than that of other comprehensive universities:
Application Requirements:
BA Textile Design
- UCAS 112 minutes
- IELTS 6.0 (with band 5.5)
MA Fashion & Textiles
- Second Class Undergraduate Degree
- IELTS 6.5 (with 5.5 in each band)
As far as undergraduates are concerned, the low threshold for fashion majors is the same for other NTU majors.
For example, NTU's BA media production major is also one of the university's advantageous majors, which integrates the learning content of the three major majors of digital media, film and television, and traditional media.
It aims to equip students with the skills of information dissemination and understand the development trends of the media industry as a whole through the introduction of different media.

Last year's champion, where?
M50 Winland Art
The University of Liverpool was ranked No. 1 in UC last year, and it wasn't a flash in the pan, with it still coming in at No. 3 this year.
Compared with other universities, Lida mainly wins in "balance": the four main indicators are among the best, and even the graduate recommendation rate is 100%, which is higher than the NTU!
In addition, in the "Social Life" category, the University once again received the highest score among the 100 institutions.
The reason for the successive top-notches in the "social life" indicator may have something to do with the geographical location of the University of Liverpool:
The school is located in the heart of Liverpool, the second largest port in United Kingdom and one of the eight core cities in England, with supermarkets, restaurants, banks, post offices and other facilities nearby, even more prosperous than many colleges in the suburbs of London.
Especially for Chinese students, it is only 1.5 kilometers from the school to Liverpool Chinatown, which is a 20-minute walk away, and Chinese Super League and Chinese food are readily available.
(Maybe you won't pay much attention to these before you go abroad, but when you go abroad, you will sigh: being close to Chinese supermarkets is really a huge advantage!!)
Similar to most universities, the University of Liverpool does not offer a design major, but it does have a dedicated conservatorium that offers a variety of courses:
Undergraduate level
Music, pop music, music technology, game music
Master's level
Music, Music Management, Music Industry Studies, Music and Audiovisual Media
At the same time, the university's architecture department is even more well-known in United Kingdom, ranking third in United Kingdom research after Cambridge and UCL, and the first university to be accredited by the RIBA of the United Kingdom Royal Institute of Architects.
Similar to famous architecture schools such as UCL and AA, the architecture discipline of the University is also practice-oriented, and the studio is full of various architectural models.
In terms of curriculum, the architecture major also includes a series of cutting-edge courses such as architectural and visual research, virtual reality and environment, climate and environmental assessment, and parametric modeling.
Of course, it is precisely because of the high gold content that the requirements of the architecture profession of Lida are not low:
A-level requires at least AAA or above, and language requirements IELTS 6.5 overall, 6.0 or above in each component, etc.
At the same time, you also need to prepare a portfolio, and in the school's own words: "If the quality of the portfolio is strong enough, the school will consider lowering the A-level threshold appropriately"!
So how can you make your portfolio a "strong portfolio"?

Low-key treasure university
M50 Winland Art
As mentioned earlier, the University of Liverpool's graduate recommendation rate is as high as 100%, which is not an easy indicator to achieve.
Among the top 20 universities in the UC rankings, only four institutions have a 100% recommendation, the other three are: Chiyama University, Bournemouth University, and Exeter University.
Among them, Bournemouth University (BU), which is ranked 8th, is known for its art majors.
Bournemouth University offers a wide range of arts courses, including:
BA/BSc
Computer Animation & Visual Effects
Game design
Product design
Communication & Media
Marketing & Digital Media
Film/Film Production
Television production
photography
Music & Sound Production
MA/MSc
3D computer animation
Digital special effects
Media & Communication
Creative Writing & Publishing
ad
Marketing media
Film & Film (Photography/Recording/Post-production)
Script writing
On-screen sound design
It is not difficult to see that most of BU's art majors are related to the screen, and these majors are also affiliated with the BU School of Communication.
The school consists of four departments of media, technology, journalism and law, and a research center: the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA) in the United Kingdom.
NCCA is one of the most authoritative research centers in the computer animation industry in the world, and is a global leader in the fields of 3D animation, graphics rendering, and realistic somatosensory mapping.
This also makes BU's animation and game-related majors the school's ace majors.
