On the evening of October 7th, the pure and harmonious singing of the Little Skylark Choir of the Children's Palace of Yuexiu District echoed in the Xinghai Concert Hall for a long time, lighting up the bright and charming night sky of Ersha Island. This concert is not only a report on the choir's achievements after winning the double championship at the 13th World Choir Games in New Zealand, but also a deep blessing for the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Double Crown is perfectly presented
As night fell, the Xinghai Concert Hall was full, and the concert kicked off with the passionate melody of the song "Pilot". Then, the choir went to New Zealand in July this year to participate in the 13th World Choir Games and won two sets of works that won the double championship.
Under the baton of Chief Consultant Professor Yang Li, the choir presented the long musical lines, rich harmonic variations, and complex and agile beats of "Happy Rhythm" with precision and perfection, and the audience could not help but express their heartfelt admiration.
"Colored Koi" and "Divine Inspiration" are the works of two young Chinese composers. The former is very modern music under the pen of Mr. Wen Yuchuan, with non-traditional harmonies and natural sound effects, like a lifelike koi picture; The latter is a work with a strong Yunnan Yi ethnic style tailored by Mr. Guan Yu for this competition, with moving drums and passionate music, showing the endless charm of Chinese traditional music culture.
"The Rhyme of the Mountain" is a large-scale choral suite sung by the Little Skylark Choir, which has won the championship of the folk song group of the International Choir Competition three times. That night, the choir director Deng Qun cooperated with the children, and every lyric, every note, and every group of movements was full of power and emotion, which aroused strong resonance from the audience, and thunderous applause resounded at the scene.
Remix Works debuted
In addition to the wonderful presentation of the double crown works, the concert also invited the "big lark" boys to return to the stage and perform the mixed sound masterpieces "Dawn in the Boat" and "Sing Let's Sing Let's Sing" with the little larks. This is the first time that the "Little Skylark Night" choral concert has been held for 19 years, and it not only enriches the performance form of the concert, but also allows the audience to appreciate the unique charm of different voices.
It is worth mentioning that although the children in the actor preparatory class are young, they have no stage fright, and together with the conductor Wen Yuhua, they performed four Chinese and foreign works, which are exquisite and delicate, fully demonstrating good musical literacy and stage performance. Among them, the work "Homework Waltz" is smart and interesting, with clear children's voices and well-designed stage choreography, vividly expressing the innocent characteristics of children, and is deeply loved by the audience.
Cantonese golden songs are wonderful and interactive
And the most anticipated is the Cantonese golden song section announced at the concert. In the run-up to the concert at the beginning of this year, the choir held a voting activity for "the audience's favorite Cantonese song", and after more than 500 fans voted, the classic Cantonese song "Red Sun" stood out by nearly half of the votes. The little larks performed this song vividly with full and high emotions, as if bringing the audience back to that era full of nostalgia and warmth. This moment is not only the inheritance and tribute of Cantonese culture, but also the display and promotion of the profound cultural heritage of the Chinese nation.
The audience sang to bless the motherland
At the end of the concert, all the young actors held the five-star red flag and sang "Singing the Motherland" with the audience, singing the proudest voice in their hearts to celebrate the great moment of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The concert hall suddenly became a sea of red, and everyone expressed their enthusiasm for the motherland and their good wishes for the new era, and the scene was shocking.
