Enthusiastic peers have answered 4 hours, there are answers 8 hours, there are answers for 2 hours, and there are 24 hours, it can be seen that the maximum time of heparin saline preservation is not more than 24 hours, and the phenomenon of being configured to be stored in the refrigerator for 7 days has been clinically abandoned.
In response to the above answer, the author believes that the configured heparin is stored for several hours within 24 hours is not the key, the key is that one person and one bottle are used alone! If the purpose of storage is for use by other patients, even if it is stored for 1 hour, it is not standardized. See figure below.

Tao Xiubin, Xu Jing, Wang Minghua and others' study "Study on the Validity Period of Heparin Sodium Intravenous Sealing Fluid After Activation" mentioned that the configured heparin sealing fluid met the requirements within 72 hours or when the number of aspirations was less than 25 times.
This answers the question of the above colleagues, that is, under the condition that the number of pumps is less than 25 times, it is no problem to store for 24 hours.

Need, Tao Xiubin, Xu Jing, Wang Minghua and other studies "Study on the Validity Period of Heparin Sodium Intravenous Sealing Fluid After Activation" mentioned that the number of heparin saline bacteria cultures placed in refrigerated storage at 2--8 degrees was lower than that of room temperature, which indicates that temperature has a certain impact on the growth of microorganisms.

1. Pre-filled catheter rinser: the inside is normal saline without preservatives.
2. Special heparin sealing solution: 5ml of special tube sealing liquid containing 50 units of heparin, which is used for peripheral venous indwelling needle or PICC/CVC sealing tube. The sealing solution does not need to be diluted, and the sealing tube is directly suctioned.

Summary, regarding the use of heparin sodium sealing fluid, the author believes that, first of all, the patient's condition is allowed, not hypercoagulable patients, and hospitals with conditions should use a pre-filled catheter irrigation device, or 10ml of normal saline without preservatives; secondly, choose a specially configured heparin sealing fluid, without dilution, that is, pumping and using. Third, in the case of none of the above, when using heparin sodium to configure normal saline, it should be dedicated, refrigerated and stored, the number of suctions is less than 25 times, and the storage time is 24 hours.
