"True and False Monkey King" can be said to be the biggest unsolved case in "Journey to the West", two identical Monkey Kings, even the combat power is equal, and it is difficult to distinguish between victory and defeat, so that it is difficult to distinguish which one is true and which one is false.
After the real and fake Sun Wukong met, they kept fighting, while fighting and looking for someone to distinguish, they asked Tang Sanzang to distinguish, but how could Tang Sanzang distinguish between mortals with the naked eye?
Tang Sanzang and others, who lived with Sun Wukong day and night, were difficult to distinguish, so Sun Wukong went to outsiders to distinguish between the real and the fake; What Nanhai Guanyin, Jade Emperor, King Yama, etc., they went all over again, but no one could recognize which one was true and which one was false.
Among them, they also went to the Dragon King of the East China Sea to let the Dragon King of the East China Sea distinguish their authenticity from falsehood.
Even great gods such as Guanyin Bodhisattva and the Jade Emperor are difficult to distinguish, why should they look for the Dragon King of the East China Sea?
It's very simple, Sun Wukong's Ruyi Golden Hoop Stick was obtained here, and he wanted the Dragon King of the East China Sea to see who was the real Ruyi Golden Hoop Stick in his hand. How do you know that the Dragon King of the East China Sea saw two golden hoop sticks, and he couldn't recognize which one was real and which one was fake for a while, which was worth scrutinizing.
Obviously, the Dinghaishen Needle is unique, or it was refined by Taishang Laojun, so why does the six-eared macaque have it?
In fact, it is not only the Ruyi golden hoop stick, it stands to reason that the golden hoop on Sun Wukong's head is also unique, why do six-eared macaques also have it?
In the original work, there has long been an introduction to the golden hoop on the head of Sun Wukong, saying that it is a magic weapon given to Guanyin Bodhisattva by the Buddha, there are three golden hoops, one is used on Sun Wukong's head, one is used on the head of the black bear monster, and the last one is used on the red child's body.
Since it is unique, why do six-eared macaques have it?
The answer is actually very simple, the so-called six-eared macaque is actually the second heart of Sun Wukong, he is not one of the four species as Rulai said, but another real Wukong, or Wukong's other self.
The other side of Sun Wukong is wild and untamable, he can't wait to kill Tang Sanzang in his heart, based on this reason, it is not good to demolish Sun Wukong in public, otherwise there is no way for Sun Wukong to continue to follow Tang Sanzang to learn scriptures.
And in the original work, there is also an introduction to the real and false Monkey King: "One is a mixed element Qi Tiansheng, and the other is a thousand spirit shrinking goblins who have been refining for a long time." This is the Ruyi Golden Hoop Stick, and that one is the Freeheart Hardcore Soldier. There is no victory or defeat in the partition block, and there is no win or loss in supporting the enemy. ”
It has been made very clear here, the Ruyi golden hoop stick in the hands of the six-eared macaque is called "free heart iron soldier". What does it mean to be free, that is, the iron rod in the hand of the six-eared macaque changes with the heart.
In other words, Sun Wukong at this time already had two hearts, but Rulai did not tear his face to expose Sun Wukong, but tacitly acted in a play with Sun Wukong.
Because at this time, Sun Wukong and Tang Sanzang had a gap, Sun Wukong's dark side was eager to kill Tang Sanzang, Tang Sanzang also felt that the Tao was different, and he didn't want Sun Wukong to follow him.
If you didn't break Sun Wukong's two hearts, and pulled out the four major monkey species, it was to leave room for Sun Wukong to return to Tang Sanzang's side. Sun Wukong also understood Rulai's intentions, so he did not hesitate to kill the six-eared macaque with a stick, which was equivalent to surrendering his name to Rulai.
My "two hearts" have been dispelled, and from now on I will only wholeheartedly protect Tang Seng and learn scriptures.
Rulai was very satisfied with Sun Wukong's performance, so he also made a guarantee to Sun Wukong, telling him that if he obtained the true scriptures, the fruit level after success would not be lower than that of Guanyin Bodhisattva.
Then, he asked Guanyin Bodhisattva to send Sun Wukong back, and vaguely told Tang Sanzang that Sun Wukong would accept it if he received it, and if he didn't accept it, he would have to accept it, which was mandatory for Tang Sanzang to accept Sun Wukong, otherwise don't think about this scripture.
Since this incident, Tang Sanzang has never had the heart to drive away Sun Wukong, nor has he recited the mantra again.
To sum up, it also explains why the unique Ruyi Golden Hoop Stick and the unique Golden Hoop suddenly became two.
Some conspiracy theories believe that the one who died was the real Monkey King, and it was the six-eared macaque who continued to learn from the scriptures, which is actually nonsense. The six-eared macaque can have the mana of Sun Wukong, and he can also imitate Sun Wukong everywhere, but his nature is difficult to imitate.
Look at the six-eared macaque in the original book, how violent and cruel is it?
The real Monkey King has never touched Tang Sanzang, but the fake Monkey King gave him a stick when he came up. This is not the most cruel, and the more infuriating is yet to come.
The walker saw that the sand monk killed a monkey spirit and forced the sand monk away, and he did not come to chase after him, but went back to the cave to teach the little ones to drag the dead demon corpse aside, peeled the skin, took the meat and fried it, and ate the coconut wine and wine with the monkeys. ——Excerpt from "Journey to the West"
It can be clearly seen that the cruelty of the six-eared macaque, the little monkey in Huaguo Mountain died, he actually let other monkeys cramp and peel him, and let many of his kind eat him, if this is the real Monkey King, he will definitely not be able to do this kind of thing.
As the old saying goes, the country is easy to change, and its nature is difficult to change. If it is the real Monkey King who dies and the six-eared macaque who continues to learn the scriptures, with Tang Sanzang's annoying character, let alone obtaining the true scriptures later, I am afraid that he will be directly beaten to death by the six-eared macaque, and then turn into a fake Tang Seng to continue to learn the scriptures.
In other words, if the six-eared macaque is allowed to follow Tang Seng to learn scriptures, there will be a risk of killing Tang Seng; How could such a person not anticipate such a risk?
Therefore, the one who died is the fake Wukong, which can also be said to be Wukong's two hearts!
