At present, the situation of chronic disease prevention and treatment in mainland China is complex, with the prevalence of chronic diseases reaching 48.4% among people aged 55~64 and 62.3% among the elderly aged 65 and above. The concept of "exercise is good medicine" combines exercise therapy with medication to not only manage diseases more effectively, but also significantly improve the quality of life of patients.
Before training at home, COPD patients need to undergo a complete medical history, physical examination, and functional assessment in the hospital, and work with the medical staff to develop the best management plan based on the results of the examination.
Patients should be evaluated for cardiovascular and musculoskeletal abnormalities before training, and electrocardiogram, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation should be monitored during the initial training phase to determine whether oxygen therapy is needed. At the same time, make sure to have adequate warm-up and cool-down exercises and avoid overtraining.
