Kunming, October 24 (China News Network) -- On the 23rd, the 2021 Academic Annual Meeting of the Chinese Mathematical Society opened in Kunming, and the winners of the Hua Luogeng Mathematics Prize, the Chen Shengsheng Mathematics Prize and the Zhong Jiaqing Mathematics Prize were announced on the spot.

From the 23rd to the 26th, the 2021 Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Mathematical Society was held in Kunming, and more than 1,000 people from home and abroad, representatives of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, and representatives of editing and publishing units attended. During the conference, relevant meetings of the Chinese Mathematical Society will be held, and relevant forums and conferences such as the Mathematical Culture Dissemination Forum, the Western Scholars Forum, the Medical Mathematics Satellite Conference, and the Combinatorial Graph Theory Satellite Conference will be held. At the opening ceremony held on the same day, Tian Gang, chairman of the Chinese Mathematical Society and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, read out the winners of the three major mathematical awards on behalf of the Hua Luogeng Mathematics Award Evaluation Committee, the Chen Shengsheng Mathematics Award Award Evaluation Committee, and the Zhong Jiaqing Mathematics Award Award Committee.
In this selection, Chen Shuxing, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Fudan University, and Professor Wang Silei of Zhejiang University won the 15th Hua Luogeng Mathematics Award of the Chinese Mathematical Society. Tian Ye, a researcher at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Huang Wen, a professor at the University of Science and Technology of China, won the 18th Chinese Mathematical Society Chen Shengshen Mathematics Award. Dr. Cao Peigen of Zhejiang University and Hebrew University, Dr. Chen Hongge of Wuhan University, Dr. Cui Suping of Qinghai Normal University and Dr. Gao Bin of the French University of Leuven in Belgium won the 15th Chinese Mathematical Society Zhong Jiaqing Mathematics Prize.

As an annual academic event in the Chinese mathematical community, this annual meeting invited Professor Fan Huijun of Peking University, Professor Ma Xiaonan of the University of Paris, Tian Ye, Researcher of the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Professor Yang Tong of the City University of Hong Kong to make conference reports, and more than 100 mathematicians made group reports in 10 fields such as algebra and number theory, geometry and topology, probability and statistics, and mathematics education. The meeting also invited Tian Gang, chairman of the Chinese Mathematical Society and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Yuan Yaxiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and vice chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, to make a science popularization report at the kunming area middle school.
