In order to promote the cultural characteristics of the recipient areas and stimulate the cultural innovation and creativity of the ethnic masses. The Moyu County Working Group of the Beijing Aid Xinjiang Hotan Headquarters focused on the investigation of the Moyu County Mulberry Paper Cultural Park, the Art Troupe and other points, and formed the idea of choreographing the "Mulberry Paper" theme dance after the research results, and planned to use dance art to tell the story of the national intangible cultural heritage mulberry paper. To this end, a well-known choreographer team in Beijing was invited to choreograph and on-site teaching, and professional advice and support were given to the actors of Xinjiang Moyu County Art Troupe throughout the process. On July 30, 2024, the dance won the "Special Gold Award" in the 11th National General Exhibition of the "Dance World" TV Dance Exhibition.
In the early stage, the Beijing choreographer team fully absorbed the suggestions of the Moyu County team, and strived to retain the traditional elements in the preparation process, and combined the innovation and breakthrough of the art form, and finally formed the choreography idea of "the national intangible cultural heritage of Moyu County, Hotan Prefecture - mulberry paper, as the source of creation, skillfully integrating ethnic customs and modern dance art, and vividly reproducing the hard work and joy of Uygur compatriots in the process of making mulberry paper through the exquisite performance of the dancers, as well as the love story with this as the medium". "Love on Mulberry Paper" not only shows the exquisite and charm of the ancient skill of mulberry paper making, but also profoundly reveals the beautiful quality of the Uygur people's simplicity, diligence and love of life, and injects new vitality into the development of contemporary dance art.
On the stage, every movement of the dancers is full of strength and softness, and they gradually show the enthusiasm, confidence and sincere emotions contained in the works in a way that they are immersed in the situation, their hearts and feelings. This kind of artistic expression that transcends regions and nationalities has deeply touched the heartstrings of every audience and triggered a strong emotional resonance and collision of ideas. The participants said: As a county-level art troupe, I am very excited to be on the national stage and win this award! It is because of Beijing's support that we have the opportunity to be guided by high-level choreographers, and we are able to show the most beautiful and moving dance postures. This honor will inspire us to continue to move forward, and we will take this gratitude, train and create harder, and use dance to convey more beauty and strength in Moyu County.
