Today, former NBA player Mo Williams updated twitter to announce that he is the coach of Alabama State University.

"On a great day, I became a part of the Alabama State Hornets. Rush, Alabama!!! Williams wrote.

Williams was previously a teaching assistant at California State University, Northridge, where he attended the University of Alabama.

Williams was drafted by the Jazz in the second round at the 2003 draft and joined the Bucks after a season with the Jazz and gradually became their starting point guard.

Throughout williams' 13-year NBA career, he has played for the Jazz, Bucks, Cavaliers, Clippers, Trail Blazers, Timberwolves and Hornets, playing in 818 regular-season games, averaging 13.2 points, 4.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 29.2 minutes per game, shooting 37.8% from three-point range.
