Wuhe Town is known as the "wolfberry town", with a wolfberry planting area of 64,000 mu, which has become a veritable "fruit of prosperity" in the local area, and almost every household grows wolfberry.

The thriving industrial development is accompanied by an increase in hidden dangers to public security. How to escort the harvest scene? How to guard the "pockets" of the masses? …… Carrying out rural policing in a refined manner is the key to solving the problem.

In the face of new challenges in grassroots governance, the Wuhe Police Station of the Jingyuan County Public Security Bureau faithfully practiced the "Fengqiao Experience" in the new era, closely focused on consolidating the grassroots governance system, based on the functional positioning of "police station main defense", actively explored a new governance model suitable for rural areas, and took the initiative to move police forward, escort industrial efficiency and villagers' income increase, and comprehensively help rural revitalization.

The police work has moved forward to draw a peaceful background

"Thanks to the police comrades guarding every day, we haven't lost a single wolfberry in our house, and everyone's sense of security is getting higher and higher!" The sense of security has been greatly improved, which is the most intuitive feeling of the villagers in Wuhe Town.

Every wolfberry picking season, a large number of buying merchants and migrant workers pour into Wuhe Town. In the face of the pressure of the continuous increase in traffic and people, the Wuhe Police Station divided the wolfberry planting forest into a "grid", united with the party committee and government, mobilized village cadres, old party members and other mass prevention and control forces, and set up a joint logistics patrol team. Since the beginning of this year, Wuhe Town has achieved zero cases of wolfberry theft.

"Wuhe Town is located at the junction of Gansu and Ningbo provinces, and is an important transportation hub. Recently, the average daily traffic volume has reached more than 6,000 times, and the investigation and control work is heavy. In the second half of the night, although everyone was very tired, the people's auxiliary police on duty were always able to overcome their own sleepiness and fatigue, always keep a clear head, perform their duties, have the courage to take responsibility, and do a good job in various investigation and control tasks. The Wuhe Police Station has continuously strengthened the investigation of key parts of public security, set up traffic security checkpoints on the main roads in the jurisdiction, and carried out special rectification of rural traffic violations 24 hours a day, and strictly investigated all kinds of traffic violations. Since July, a total of 169 traffic violations have been investigated and dealt with.

Solve problems and build a strong fortress of defense

"Let's sit down and drink a cup of wolfberry tea to quench the fire, calm down and speak slowly." Recently, Qi Moumou, a migrant worker from other provinces who came to pick wolfberries, had a conflict with his employer Wu, and the two sides were at a stalemate. After learning about the situation, Zhang Weiyi, deputy director of the Wuhe Police Station, actively connected with the township comprehensive management center, took the lead in setting up a joint investigation team, and studied and formulated a mediation plan. After joint and patient mediation by multiple parties, a contradiction and dispute was resolved on the same day.

For such contradictions and disputes, the police have already formed a set of unique working methods, first make a cup of wolfberry tea during mediation, chat about family life, and turn wolfberry into a "good medicine" for both sides of the conflict. After the mood calmed down, and then from the township friendship to mediate, the innovation formed a "five-heart work method" of "careful analysis and arrangement, careful communication and linkage, patient mediation and appeasement, public heart resolution and disposal, and attentive publicity and education".

"The didactic and imperative style is unstable in resolving contradictions and disputes, and the mediation method must move closer to the direction of family affection and interaction, so as to have a heart-to-heart relationship with the masses, so as to better resolve disputes." Zhang Weiyi has been working in the police station for 10 years, during which he has constantly visited the villages, and incarnated as a "village official" to regularly station Zhang Weiyi's police office, covering 14 villages and 71 villager groups in the town. In the past 10 years, Zhang Weiyi has successfully resolved more than 600 conflicts and disputes.

For agriculture-related contradictions and disputes, the Wuhe Police Station insisted on quick handling and quick adjustment. The people's auxiliary police went into the fields, deeply explored and sorted out small contradictions and disputes, and continuously extended the tentacles of main defense, so as to realize the transformation from passive policing of "police needs of the people" to active policing of "police needs of the people". For disputes that cannot be handled on the spot, the police use the "1+3+N" diversified conflict and dispute resolution work mechanism to timely connect with the comprehensive management center, judicial office, village committee, grid members and other forces to link and conduct joint investigation, forming a good governance pattern of "small things do not go out of the grid, big things do not go out of the village community, and difficult things do not go out of the five". In 2024, the Wuhe Police Station will investigate and resolve a total of 153 conflicts and disputes, and none of the conflicts will intensify and escalate, with a resolution rate of 100%.

The "tentacles" extend to escort the road to prosperity

"Folks, wolfberries sold money to be deposited in the bank in time, if you receive a strange call and someone says, 'I am a policeman, you are suspected of committing a crime, immediately transfer money to a safe account to prove your innocence', hang up directly, this is a fraud! In the past few days, the Wuhe Police Station has organized the people's auxiliary police to distribute publicity materials to the villagers according to the regional division of "one village and one auxiliary police", one-on-one explanation and publicity, and send the knowledge of laws and regulations such as anti-theft, anti-telecom fraud, and traffic safety to the hearts of the people. At the same time, the police also use WeChat groups to release road traffic safety information, road conditions and weather information in a timely manner, remind drivers of traffic safety precautions, further extend the "tentacles" of rural police services, and make every effort to protect the masses to generate income.

"Returning to my hometown to start a business is the most correct choice for me, and the police station in my hometown saves time and worry!" Xiao Ma, a graduate college student who successfully settled down, smiled happily and praised the household registration police of the Wuhe Police Station again and again.
