In the sunflower planting area of Quanshuidi Village, Beiting Town, the on-site machines roared, the harvesting and transportation vehicles shuttled back and forth, and the harvesting workers lined up in front of the sunflower harvester, skillfully throwing the dried sunflower trays into the harvester for threshing.
Fu Jianping, a sunflower grower, contracted 240 acres of land in Beiting Town to plant Purui No. 7 sunflower. It is reported that compared with other varieties, this variety of sunflower has the advantages of resistance to heavy stubble, high temperature, insect pest, and no picking, and under the same soil fertility conditions, the yield of Purui No. 7 sunflower per mu is 20 kg to 30 kg higher than that of other varieties.

Fu Jianping looked at the bumper harvest of sunflower and said happily: "I planted 240 acres of sunflower in Beiting Town this year, and the overall growth situation this year is not bad, the average yield per mu is about 200 kilograms, the total output should be about 50 tons, and the market price of sunflower seeds per kilogram is about 10 yuan, and the income from planting sunflower is still very good." ”
Sunflower planting requires a lot of labor from sowing, seedling, watering, cutting sunflower heads to threshing sunflowers, and nearby farmers have also joined the sunflower harvesting team, Duan Xuda is one of them. "Since the sowing in April, my wife and I have been working in the sunflower field, I have participated in sowing, fertilizing, weeding, and then harvesting sunflowers, and I can earn about 200 yuan a day, and I can earn about 30,000 yuan until the end of August." Duan Xuda said happily.
