Fast Technology reported on August 6 that Apple pushed the iOS 18 developer preview Beta 5 update (build number: 22A5326f) to iPhone users in the early hours of this morning, 7 days after the last release of Beta/RC.
Due to the previous photo album revision, Apple has made changes to the interface this time, such as deleting the new carousel view, adjusting the position of the album, etc., which is much cleaner than the previous versions.
Apple says that iOS 18 beta 5 will adjust the position of albums for users with multiple albums, and the Photos app will still be fully customizable, allowing users to rearrange sections and categories as needed.
This album revamp will also be pushed to more users in the next public beta.
In addition, iOS 18 beta 5 also introduces a new feature for the Safari browser called "Distraction Control".
The feature is designed to give users more control over their web browsing experience by easily blocking certain elements on web pages (such as login pop-ups and other content overlays).
Distraction control is accessible through the same page menu interface in Safari as Reader and Viewer, and users can enable distraction control through a new "Hide Distractions" option, which will then prompt the user to select different elements of the web page that they find distracting.
In addition, iOS 18 beta 5 is a small fix, such as the adjustment of the control center button.
