Beijing, 25 Oct (Xinhua) -- Wang Chen, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, held a video conference with Mu Haimin, vice speaker of the Indonesian National Assembly, in Beijing on 25 October.
Wang Chen said that the Chinese National People's Congress is willing to work with the Indonesian Parliament to implement the important consensus reached by President Xi Jinping and President Joko Wido on promoting the unity and anti-epidemic and common development of the two countries, further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in firmly supporting each other's core interests and major concerns, promoting governing the country according to law, deepening unity against the epidemic, strengthening economic and trade cooperation, and promoting the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", so as to promote the new development of the China-Indonesia comprehensive strategic partnership.
Mu Haimin said that Indonesia attaches great importance to developing bilateral relations. We are willing to strengthen exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries and make positive contributions to enhancing friendship between the two countries.
