More than twenty years ago, when I was born, my mother dreamed of two golden phoenixes, so she gave me the name "Tong". In Chinese culture, Phoenix and Wutong are always related, and this connection also accompanies my fate with Phoenix TV and the ups and downs we have gone through together.
More than a decade ago, when I first saw Phoenix's show, I not only liked it, but also felt that it would be my future destination, and like many girls, I also had a dream of a purple host, but at that time it was just a dream. In 2009, when I won the Miss China Universe Contest sponsored by Phoenix TV, this dream seemed to be one step closer to me, and when I finally became a member of Phoenix Media, it was a dream that I had dreamed for many years.
After a brief moment of rejoicing, I was nervous, what can I do for the company? I lack experience in the media industry, let alone a presenter, can I do it? I think every new person who enters the company will feel this way. In addition to the trepidation, when I walked into the Office of Phoenix TV in Beijing six years ago, I was also a little disappointed, a simple studio, a few narrow offices, and people imagined that the spacious, comfortable, beautiful and avant-garde TV station had no resemblance.
However, miracles will be born in such a humble environment. Years later, when I learned that many of the world's great companies, such as Apple and Google, came out of the same humble garage, I could better appreciate that the reason why a company calls it great is its spirit and soul, not its beautiful appearance, and Phoenix SATELLITE TV invisibly interprets this truth.
Inexperienced and in poor condition, but the work still has to be done. IT giant Larry Page said that the best way to teach swimming is to throw children into the water, which Phoenix TV does, allowing me to learn directly on the job. Soon after arriving at the company, the company arranged for me, a newcomer who had never had the experience of a host, to be the host of the location program "Dream of the Earth". When I received this task, I set off with everyone with excitement and trepidation. However, reality quickly made a joke with me, and what made me unforgettable was that in the simple small health center in Wuzhishan, Hainan, there were only two medical staff, one was in charge of medical treatment, one was in charge of injections, and there was no examination equipment. I dripped with a group of Li grandmothers under the big tree outside this small health clinic, and no one gave me a needle for the change of medicine. Tough conditions have become a habit.
In the short few years from entering the company to the present, I have grown from an ignorant girl to a host, in addition to "Dream of the Land", I have also hosted programs such as "Starlight Grand Theatre", "Century Lecture Hall" and "Commitment 2020", and participated as an actor in the filming of the movie "Fuchun Mountain Jutu".
Compared with my peers, I am lucky, because with Phoenix TV, it not only provides us with opportunities and development space, but also trains me and trains me in its unique way of cultivating and training talents. Its once small space, full of friendship and warmth among colleagues, is not something that any material condition can give.
The fate of Phoenix and I also comes from mutual recognition of each other's ideas. In the early days of the establishment of Phoenix, the company put forward the slogan of "opening up new horizons, transmitting new feelings, recording new lives, and creating new culture". This is the difference between Phoenix TV and all Chinese TV in the world. We are at the forefront of the times and are influencing a variety of influential people every day. What we do every day is always implementing these philosophies. In the "Century Lecture Hall" program, we continuously introduce the most important, new and influential theme content to hundreds of millions of viewers, so that they can stand at the forefront of the times with us. Whenever I think about it, I can't help but be proud of the work I do.
Phoenix 20 years, today's Phoenix Center, has been a landmark building in Beijing, the spacious, cutting-edge, professional panoramic display of the work area, has become the media industry envy object.
