Thanks to the addition of Geely's self-developed 11-in-1 electric drive system, its power response is very direct, and the initial stage is basically not empty, and the entire power output is very linear. Driving in the city, the matching of the accelerator pedal and output is easy to control, and there is no "channeling" feeling.
This 11-in-1 electric drive system integrates 11 core components and is equipped with Infineon's TC397 power chip, with an overall volume of only 72L and a weight of only 79.8kg. Not only is the communication distance between the components shorter and the response time is faster, but it also provides better interior space.
The city section isn't as extreme as the last one, but it's still noticeably smart. Whether it is the steering feel, the front pointing or the following of the whole vehicle, it is enough to be in place. In terms of chassis, the Galaxy E5 also inherits the advantages of the Geely family, there will be a certain sense of heaviness, the lateral support is enough when quickly passing through corners or accelerating lane changes, the smaller bumps on the road are handled relatively cleanly, and the suspension of large potholes is pulled in time, but there are differences in the handling of bumps between the front row and the rear row, and there will be a sense of running and jumping in the rear row.
Galaxy E5 is the first model equipped with the Aegis short knife battery, compared with BYD's blade battery, the battery cell of the Aegis battery will be shorter, easier to arrange the position, and the interior space will be larger. In addition, the shorter cell makes it less resistant, thus reducing self-heating. The biggest difficulty for the short knife battery lies in the improvement of energy density, but the energy density of the Aegis battery has reached 192Wh/kg, which is higher than that of the BYD blade battery. However, when the technology iteration is released, BYD's second-generation blade battery may give us a bigger surprise.
