In the Battle of Midway, the three Japanese aircraft carriers sunk: the "Kaga", the "Akagi", and the "Wyvern", were directly related to the dreadnought bomber formation on the "Enterprise". Among them, Best (who participated in the bombing of the "Akagi" and "Wyvern"), Norman. Claes (who participated in the bombing of the Kaga and Wyvern) and McCluskey (who discovered the Japanese fleet and participated in the bombing of the Kaga) were the best performers, and they were also the three best performers of the American forces in the Battle of Midway.

At the beginning of the Battle of the Marianas, the gap between the forces of Japan and the United States widened, and because there were more wolves and less meat, it was difficult for the carrier-based aircraft formation of the "Enterprise" to receive heads, and it only participated in the encirclement and suppression operations to sink the aircraft carrier "Zuizuru" and the battleships "Musashi" and "Yamato".
In February 1947, the aircraft carrier "Enterprise", with the board number CV-6, was decommissioned. 14 years later, in 1961, the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the board number CVN-65, was again named "Enterprise", she is the No. 1 ship of the enterprise-class aircraft carrier, with a full displacement of 94,000 tons, a maximum speed of 35 knots, and 84 carrier-based aircraft.
The second-generation "Enterprise", with the port number CVN-65, can take off and land carrier-based aircraft at the same time, and a catapult is also installed, making take-off easier.
In December 2012, the second-generation "Enterprise", with the CVN-65 in service for 51 years, was decommissioned.
It is expected that in 2025, the third generation of the Ford-class aircraft carrier, the third generation "Enterprise" with the board number CVN-80, will enter service again. Now the data is not complete, only know that the speed is greater than 35 knots, and it carries 86 carrier-based aircraft of various types.
In conclusion, the performance of the USS Enterprise in the Pacific War allowed the glorious name of "Enterprise" to be passed down in the U.S. military. In the foreseeable future, it will be difficult to achieve one ship VS one country, and it can be said that there is no one before or after.
