At 10 o'clock on June 7, the underpass project of the old city reconstruction of the south railway station road implemented by Liuzhou Dongtong Investment and Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Liuzhou Rail Group, was officially opened to traffic. Since then, the South Railway Station Road has been fully connected, linking Eshan Road and Chengzhan Road, greatly alleviating the traffic congestion on the road network around the railway station during peak travel periods.
As the core link of the transportation construction around the railway station, the underpass of the South Railway Station Road has a total length of about 805 meters and a road width of between 36 meters and 50 meters. The passage starts from the north of Eshan Road and crosses the ramp to the gas station near Xincheng South Station, and is designed to be one-way traffic from north to south. It is worth mentioning that a 200-meter-long drop-off area is also set up in the underpass to facilitate passengers to get off the bus quickly and reduce traffic jams.
The smooth opening of this project will greatly optimize the traffic organization in the railway station area, effectively reduce the traffic pressure in front of the station, and make the passage in and out of the station smoother, thereby greatly improving the convenience of citizens and passengers.
