Recently, Zhongcun Street, Panyu District, actively responded to the concerns of the public, and took quick action to carry out a special rectification action to occupy the "chaos" of parking spaces in response to the long-standing problem of illegal occupation of public parking spaces in the exit section of Zhongxing Road Jinxiu Ecological Park and Jiefang Road.
The reporter visited the scene and found that on the paid parking space at the entrance of a shop on Jiefang Road, Zhongcun Street, a black electric car "occupied" half of the parking space, forcing the gray motor vehicle to park on the edge with difficulty, seriously affecting the parking order. In another public parking space, the situation is even more serious, with rusty locks in sight, indicating that the parking space has been illegally occupied for a long time. The non-motorized parking spaces were not spared, and the two cement piers were connected by iron chains, occupying two valuable non-motorized parking spaces, which brought great inconvenience to the public.

"Some people only care about their own convenience, so they come up with the 'bad idea' of occupying parking spaces, and now there is a shortage of parking spaces, if everyone is so unruly, then the street will not be chaotic." "It's long overdue, parking spaces are public resources, how can you take them for yourself." Citizens have said.
In the face of this situation, Zhongcun Street responded quickly and organized a special rectification action on July 25. During the operation, the staff carried out a comprehensive clean-up of Zhongyun Road, Zhongxing Road Ecological Park section, Jiefang Road, Junxin Road and other main roads, dispatched a total of 26 people and 8 vehicles, cleaned up 68 private municipal parking spaces, and educated and guided the masses who illegally occupied parking spaces, and educated about 51 people in total. The action effectively released the illegally occupied parking resources, provided more sufficient parking space for the public, and effectively alleviated the problem of "parking difficulties".
Workers remove the ground lock
According to statistics, since January 2024, Zhongcun Street has received a total of 12 complaints about the occupation of public parking spaces. In order to completely solve this problem, Zhongcun Street has set up a joint environmental order rectification team composed of the command center, the comprehensive administrative law enforcement detachment, the health office, the traffic police squadron, and the comprehensive traffic law enforcement department since June, to conduct in-depth on-the-spot inspections of the main roads of the whole street and carry out special rectification actions on a regular basis. With the deepening of the rectification action, the number of public complaints about private appropriation of public resources has dropped significantly.

The person in charge of the relevant department of Zhongcun Street said that the next step will continue to increase the rectification efforts, continue to promote the joint rectification action, and establish and improve the long-term inspection and supervision mechanism to ensure that the problem is rectified when it is found. Specific measures include: strengthening departmental linkage, organizing joint rectification teams to carry out special rectification actions on a regular basis according to daily inspections and clues provided by citizens of the Guangzhou 12345 hotline; Implement the management of the parking space system, re-plan and delineate the municipal parking resources by the Panyu District Transportation Bureau, and introduce the "smart parking system" to eliminate the phenomenon of occupying public resources from the source; Strengthen public publicity, improve citizens' awareness of traffic safety and civilized parking through various channels such as daily visits by staff and WeChat public accounts, and jointly create a harmonious and orderly parking environment.
