On July 28, the signing ceremony of the cooperation between Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and Dianbai District of Maoming City and the signing and unveiling ceremony of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (hereinafter referred to as "West Guangdong Hospital") was held in Maoming City.
Located at No. 66 Baomao Avenue South, Dianbai District, Maoming City, West Guangdong Hospital covers an area of 60 acres, with a total construction area of 77,000 square meters, 450 beds and 680 open beds.
It is understood that the West Guangdong Hospital (Maoming Dianbai District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine) was founded in December 1975 and is a tertiary traditional Chinese medicine hospital integrating prevention, medical treatment, rehabilitation, health care, teaching and scientific research.

Li Jun, President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, put forward three major goals: to climb "high" and strive for new ones, and build a new pattern of hospital development; Move towards "strong" and accumulate new momentum for the development of hospitals; Promote the quality of "integration", create a new echelon of hospital development, and drive the development of disciplines and the cultivation of Chinese medicine talents in western Guangdong hospitals.

On March 5 this year, the First Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine signed a cooperation agreement with Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhongshan Municipal People's Government and Zhongshan Sanxiang Township People's Government to officially launch the cooperation to jointly build Zhongshan Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.
On July 16, the unveiling ceremony of Shenshan Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, was held in Shanwei. In the future, the hospital will be built into a demonstration and leading benchmark based in Shenzhen-Shantou and radiating to eastern Guangdong, providing more and better medical resources and medical services for the people.
So far, the First Hospital of Guangzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine has cooperated with local governments to build hospitals covering Zhongshan, Shanwei and Maoming.
