Recently, some netizens posted on social media that a blogger on the Douyin video platform who claimed to be a delivery rider "@你好, Takeaway" posted a video of a young female customer suspected of being taken while delivering food, and gave vulgar and extreme comments on the female customer's appearance and clothing in the video. (Red Star News related report: "Riders secretly photographing female customers" were banned, and fake riders are crazy to attract fans: can I be exempted from liability by marking "plot interpretation"?) )
The video was quickly questioned by netizens, and then the blogger added hashtags such as "scenario interpretation" to the video, but the account was still banned by Douyin. Another account suspected of being the blogger's @黄someone人vlog was then active on the Kuaishou platform, and the account was later banned by Kuaishou.
Regarding similar behaviors that continue to disseminate bad video content similar to "riders secretly photographing female customers" after being marked with "scenario interpretation" and "plot needs", Kuaishou responded that whether it is really "scenario interpretation" The platform will review it. Even if such a label is marked, the platform will never allow videos that contain vulgar and bad content.
Douyin responded that if users find relevant content, they can report it, and the platform will verify and deal with it.

In response to this phenomenon, the Ele.me delivery platform responded to Red Star News that the video blogger posted the relevant video after April last year, when the broadcaster had resigned from Ele.me and was not a rider on the platform. At the same time, Ele.me also emphasized: "Ele.me will resolutely crack down on illegal acts of impersonating riders, attracting attention and gaining traffic by fabricating false plots, and damaging the image of the rider group and the reputation of the platform, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of relevant parties through legal means." ”
In addition to the short video bloggers involved in the above-mentioned incident, the Red Star News reporter searched for "takeaway brother" as the keyword and saw that there were dozens of accounts on the video platform with @Hello, the same type of video released by takeaway. At the same time, the reporter found that in addition to the filming and evaluation of female customers taking meals, some videos also involved the "violent treatment" of customers' meals.
On July 20, a video blogger named @大奇 (takeaway brother) posted a video of an argument with a delivery person over a customer's repeated changes to the delivery address. On July 22, a Red Star News reporter contacted the blogger to inquire about the situation, but the other party refused to respond. Later, the reporter found that the blogger immediately added a label to the video, claiming that the video was "a plot interpretation, just for entertainment".
A blogger account claiming to be a food delivery rider was banned by Kuaishou
In the face of similar videos that are marked as "situational interpretation", but the content is vulgar, the language is extreme, and even violent, and there is a negative orientation to society, does the short video platform also have the obligation to supervise and review?
A staff member of the public relations department of the Kuaishou short video platform responded to Red Star News that the platform requires the labeling of fictional content, which is consistent with the management requirements of the Cyberspace Administration of China. However, for illegal content, even if it is marked on the platform, it should never be allowed to spread arbitrarily. Once the relevant content is discovered, the platform will dispose of the account.
According to Article 5 of the Notice on Strengthening the Management of 'Self-Media' issued by the Cyberspace Administration of China in July 2023, it is clearly stipulated that if "self-media" publishes content containing fictional plots or plot interpretations, website platforms shall require them to mark fictional or deductive labels in a conspicuous manner. At the same time, it is emphasized that website platforms are encouraged to mark controversial information with controversial labels and limit the flow of relevant information.
The Red Star News reporter also noticed that the two major short video platforms of Douyin and Kuaishou have given public regulations on video content. The "Douyin Community Self-Discipline Convention" clearly stipulates that "it is forbidden to publish and disseminate content that uses obscure and vulgar language to make people think about sexual behavior and sexual organs". The "Kuaishou Community Content Rules Center" mentions that foul language is illegal content.
Both Douyin and Kuaishou said that if users find illegal content in the video, they can report it to the platform, and the platform will subsequently hand it over to the review team for judgment and handling.
