Among them, the study of "nuclear pore complex maturity regulates zygotic genome activation" has solved a major scientific problem in the field of developmental biology. The research on "intestinal microbial host isoenzymes is a new target for regulating metabolic diseases" has realized the precise regulation of intestinal flora and opened up a new path for disease prevention, diagnosis and intervention. The research on "construction of human organ-on-a-chip and multi-modal accurate measurement methods" has a wide range of applications in drug development and screening, personalized medicine, environmental assessment, aviation medicine and other fields.
The conference also held a book donation ceremony of the consortium of the Life Science Society of the China Association for Science and Technology, and presented the series of "Top Ten Advances in China's Life Science Popularization Books" to five units: Sun Yat-sen University, Zhongshan Seventh Academy, Shenzhen Affiliated School of Sun Yat-sen University, Senior High School Affiliated to Shenzhen University of Technology, and Shenzhen Second Vocational and Technical School. The breakthrough results of the research on tumor resistance mechanism recently published by the team of Professor He Yulong and Professor Zhang Changhua of Sun Yat-sen Seventh Hospital in the core journal "Nature" in the field of natural scientific research were also displayed through video. The guests at the meeting held the unveiling ceremony of the "Commemorative Light Sculpture" for this breakthrough achievement in the field of life sciences.

NBS1 lactylation is required for efficient DNA repair and chemotherapy resistance
This study revealed the key regulatory role of lactation modification of DNA repair protein (NBS1) protein in tumor chemotherapy resistance, and innovatively proposed a new scheme to reverse chemotherapy resistance by targeting and inhibiting the lactation modification of NBS1 protein or regulating the lactate metabolism pathway.
This is a major breakthrough in global cancer disease research, which not only reveals how tumor cells resist chemotherapy and develops drug resistance, but also screens targeted drugs that can overcome tumor cell drug resistance, opening up a new perspective for the research of tumor immunotherapy, tumor radiotherapy, tumor recurrence and other issues, and will benefit tens of millions of cancer resistant patients.
