In the past few days, the tobacco leaves of Yangzong Town, Yangzonghai Scenic Area of Kunming have matured one after another, and they have entered the stage of picking and baking. Recently, in the flue-cured tobacco planting area of Yangzong Town, growers are busy picking tobacco leaves and roasting tobacco leaves under the guidance of technicians.
Walking into the flue-cured tobacco planting area, the tobacco leaves are huge and green, and the flue-cured tobacco branches are luxuriant. As far as the eye can see, the flue-cured tobacco planted in succession is lush and growing. In the tobacco field, local migrant workers shuttle through the tobacco bushes to skillfully pick tobacco leaves, and these bundled tobacco leaves are about to be sent to the centralized baking point for roasting.
At the centralized baking point, the migrant workers clamp the tobacco leaves and put them into the furnace. Different from the traditional weaving of tobacco on the rod, this year, growers use the "comb tobacco clip" to weave cigarettes, one shop, one tie, one clip...... Compared with manually weaving a cigarette in 5 minutes, the "comb cigarette clip" can be completed in less than 2 minutes, which saves labor, time and effort. At present, the town's flue-cured tobacco work is being carried out in an intense and orderly manner, and it is expected that the flue-cured tobacco will be completed by mid-September.
It is reported that in 2024, a total of 2,009 acres of flue-cured tobacco will be planted in Yangzong Town, with an estimated output of 330,000 kilograms. Yangzong Town will focus on strengthening the management of flue-cured tobacco in the middle and late stages, and make every effort to organize technical personnel to go deep into the fields to effectively pick and bake tobacco leaves. Remind and urge growers to do a good job in tobacco pest control and bad weather prevention, and tobacco technicians to do a good job in management guidance, standardize the implementation of flue-cured tobacco production technical measures, do a good job in early baking technology training and guidance, and comprehensively grasp the work of tobacco harvesting, baking and other stages, to ensure the smooth completion of flue-cured tobacco production this year, increase production and income, and help rural revitalization.
