Paloma House

△ Return to nature, quiet and simple local aesthetics

The project sits on top of an idyllic hill with stunning views across the local area. The interior was designed by Fearon Hay Architects in collaboration with Michela Curetti.

Simple and elegant, the combination of clean linear laws and nature creates an idyllic living atmosphere, like a clear spring, flowing into the heart, injecting natural poetry and artistic beauty into the life of the owners.

Matagouri

Located between Lake Wakatipu and the Kawarau Mountains in New Zealand's South Island, the project was created by Fearon Hay. The architecture is accompanied by magnificent natural landscapes, immersed in the beautiful lake scenery and majestic mountain scenery, and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature.

The architect has an in-depth understanding of the surrounding natural environment, and the design is meticulously crafted, absorbing and balancing the natural elements of the place, hoping to construct a shelter that contains tranquility and comfort.

△ Architecture and scenery paint a beautiful picture

The curve of the roof of the building follows the undulations of the mountains, flowing and natural. The use of the roof element on the ground makes it like a texture on the skin of the earth, when the sun shines, the building breathes with the surrounding environment, and the change of light and shadow perfectly blends into the landscape.

Entering the space, it is like walking into a warm embrace. The surrounding mountains, lakes, plants and trees and breezes all converge here, and the sunlight penetrates the space, like the delicate golden sand on the seaside, sprinkled on the floor, outlining a warm area; The breeze blows, carrying the freshness of the lake and the majesty of the mountains, gently rippling layer upon layer.

The open kitchen and dining area promote the integration and interaction of the space, making cooking a process of communication and enjoyment. A simple chandelier hanging from the ceiling provides a warm and soft light to the dining area in the evening, creating a cosy and cosy atmosphere. The imperfect walls add an artistic touch and a lively interest to the space.

The layout of the building structure is like a beautiful music, with ups and downs, staggered, so that the rhythm of life finds the most harmonious melody here.

△Space and nature, meet in time

Orchard House

The project is set in a mature chestnut orchard and is built in the form of a farmhouse, with a courtyard facing the mountain landscape at its core. The exterior of the house, covered with zinc corrugated panels, stands quietly in the lush greenery of the garden, and contrasts with the lush chestnut orchard.

△ Rhythmic light and shadow are natural body style

Walking into it, you can see the designer's careful layout of the space, and the poetic brushstrokes of warm and rich oak and limestone materials are wantonly laid out in the interior space; The high-ceilinged structure maximizes the harmony of the scenery of the chestnut orchard and allows you to enjoy the leisurely flow of time.

The combination of ancient sunflower fans and modern lighting injects a touch of oriental charm into the space, and the fan-shaped veins create a quiet and romantic atmosphere under the light at night.

Coastal House

The project creates a flexible and natural space for large families, including three partially buried courtyards in coastal dunes, and the coastal landscape provides a visual enjoyment of sunlight and waterfront nature in all conditions throughout the year.

A secluded courtyard in the dunes is within the space, like a haven of tranquility, providing a protected natural living space for family members. The blurring of the boundaries between the outside and the inside provides families with opportunities to enjoy the clouds, the sunset, or to meet and mingle......

Rose Bay

The house is encased in a translucent stone screen and nestled among the trees at the eastern end of Rose Bay. The house has a U-shaped plan that opens onto the east courtyard and presents a wide terrace with views and the harbour. The patio lets the morning sun into the house, away from the street and with views stretching through the spaces on either side.

Agate slabs are laid on a black stainless steel frame and hang vertically from the roof edge or propped up on the terrace. The interior surfaces are plastered and feature a dark brass window frame structure.

The semi-enveloping structure that extends outwards gives the house a layer of privacy and space. The translucent nature of the stone screen allows the mottled light to shine into the interior, creating a poetic and warm living atmosphere.
